    • Great battery - needs consistent sunlight
Color: 4-Panel
I bought this to take on a jungle back packing trip alongside the nest-out portable battery. Was able to keep my phone relatively alive for most of the trip, along maintaining a solid charge on my portable battery. I've heard stories about this over charging batteries though, so I would be mindful to keep an eye on the charge of your battery. TLDR: durable packaging, lightweight, and efficient, can charge a phone in about 4 hours if you get consistent sunlight. ... show more

I have several portable solar panels for different occasions and purposes but, the one thing that separates this one from others is the handy pouch to carry a battery power pack and cords. This 28W panel is also compact enough to strap onto a backpack or place inside. With backpacking, any added weight is not desirable but, if you’re going to be roughing it for a few days or more in the wilderness and need a power source, then this would be a good contender. BUT, if you are going to be where there’s going to be an issue with having enough direct sunlight for effective solar charging then maybe taking several power packs would be more effective and logical. I like this solar charging panel and its portability. The output reading is bright enough and easy to see how much sunlight you’re getting and it does have two USB slots for dual charging capabilities. The only thing I do not like is the lack of a Type C port. I’m assuming it has to do with the type of solar power converted they’re using so it’s not a deal breaker for me. Hopefully they will come out with an updated version, which I would gladly buy IF it’s not too much more expensive. Overall I like this portable solar power charging system and the quality of the design and materials is pretty good. So, if you’re into backpacking, hiking, camping, or prepping then I recommend it. Other than hiking and backpacking, this panel is also part of my bug out gear list. You never know when you gotta make a run for it… ... show more

My solar panel did not come with an English manual. The visual illustrations provided enough guidance to setup and connect a Elecom Nestout 15000mAh battery to it. Battery was brand new with 40% charge right out of the box. The solar panel charged it from 40% to 80% in 1hour and 35minutes. It is light weight, so a couple of rocks may need to be utilized to anchor the panel if there is enough wind to blow it over. The solar panel is compact and easily fits inside of my get home bag. I like the storage pouch for housing the battery when not in use. ... show more

    • Get a power pack to charge for later use as it doesn’t come with one
Color: 4-Panel
The instructions were in Asian languages. If you only speak European or African languages, throw the instructions away. The digital indicator is a nice feature as it allows one to see the amount of power it is sending to the item you are charging. DO NOT FORGET TO GET A POWER PACK as it doesn’t store the energy for later. Lastly, the stand took a minute to figure out but it is simple once you understand it. The case is padded and built in. Great for travel to remote places. It appears to be better built than others I have used. ... show more
