Product exactly as advertised. Good for covering up larger thermostat holes. BUT - save your money if all it takes is a bit of putty and paint to clean up the wall from removing the old thermostat. The price isn't worth it at just under $15 for a single plastic wall plate. It IS nothing more than a plastic round wall plate. Will I use the two I bought and not return them? Yes, but that is due to a very limited time to do the install. If you have 30min for a little patch and paint before Nest installation, a big white bull's-eye on the wall isn't the best solution. ... show more

Just recently upgraded my thermostat and wanted something to help cover up the hole and messed up wall where our old thermostat was. This helped cover it up and makes the bracket for our new nest thermostat look really nice. It is a hair larger than I thought it would be. The nest thermostat snaps on and compliments the cover perfectly. I do wish there was a few more holes to make mounting this easier as you need to screw the thermostat bracket together. This has a much lower profile than the one sold by Nest.

Love the look and scheduling ability if this thermostat, the only issue I have is that it sometimes loses Wi-Fi connection and shows as offline in the app, a simple restart fixes this but a bit of a pain at times.
