Looks much better than the plate provided by Nest but it is still a piece of plastic -albeit a gold piece of plastic. Easy to install but it must be thicker because the nest is not as easy to use as with the nest plate. It does not prevent using the functions of the nest but makes it more difficult since it’s more difficult to push in the nest to get to the functions. I needed to cover up a hole of the original thermostat and the plate Nest provides is really basic and ugly. This was the perfect accent to our home and the quality was there too! Everyone notices it when they come to our home! Love it.

These are extremely beautiful. If you are looking to make your Nest thermostat beautiful, then this is what you will need. It looks like metal but it is plastic though. We got the brass version and it looks great.

Looks amazing when done. It is plastic but you can't tell when all together. Definitely worth the money to eliminate painting, etc. Mine didn't come with any screws, not sure if it was supposed to. Make sure you use flat head screws so your Nest fits in correctly. Great buy!
