2.0 out of 5 stars | So close...
This thing should be a 5-star product but alas.... The item is perfectly flat which prevents it from clearing the wall mount screws of the nest. This causes it to not sit flush against the wall. This item needs to be approx. 3/16 of an inch convex so that it will clear the mounting screws directly behind the nest and still be flush against the wall at the wall plate's outer edge. It seems it could be done easily by the manufacturer without a need to even change the packaging that it is shipped in. Again it is a real shame because it is a great match for the nest and a quality piece. I wish I could keep it but unfortunately I am going to have to return it.

4.0 out of 5 stars | Look Great! Have Some Suggestions...
It looks great on the wall and color matches. So it’s a great addition to complete the look. Pros - Easy to install - Looks fantastic Cons - Expensive for a single piece of metal - No mounting hardware included - Requires vertical mounting (using the 2 vertical screw holes to mount to drywall) Using the vertical mounts as indicated may cause you to put a screw where your wires are run. For users I’d suggest making sure you select shallow screws and snake a camera to verify you won’t hit anything. Prep the wall first by sanding/painting surface irregularities out. Noting that this should be perfectly flush against the wall. Finally, including some mounting hardware such as some screws would make it a better value.

5.0 out of 5 stars | Looks Great!
I hated the look of the wall plate that came with the Nest. Guess I could have painted it black or silver and it might have looked good. I bought this knowing I'd have to do a little sanding and painting because it won't cover the area if your old wall plate was rectangular like the Nest wall plate. I also put a small bead of silicone around the edge because it didn't sit flush on the wall. My little project looks great now and it is a quality piece of aluminum. Highly recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars | Wall looks better with this plate
After looking for a new nest wall plate for the past year we finally found one that had really good reviews. My wife and I really like these look of this plate. Looks great with my stainless steel nest. I didn't think that the plate that came with the nest was the worst, but this does definitely look better (though after having the original plate on for the past year I don't even notice it anymore when I would walk by). I think that the price is a little high though for what it is. Quality is top notch.

1.0 out of 5 stars | Disappointed...
The plate looks good but its not nice that this company is so cheap not to include any screws which are required for installation. I had to make a special trip to buy screws. How can they not include screws costing about $1.00 is they charge $18.99 for such a small piece of metal?

2.0 out of 5 stars | SHARP!
The edges of this thing are sharper than broken class. I sliced both my hands in four different places trying to install it to the point that there was blood on the wall. It's a beautiful product but is certainly a dangerous thing to have around a thermostat you're supposed to touch with your hands.

5.0 out of 5 stars | Wall plate covering
Love this plate cover for my Nest Learning Thermometer. It was easy to install and looks great. A little paint touch was required. Getting many compliments from my family. Its a metal plate. No plastic at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars | Completely flat = poor fit
This piece of metal is completely flat which means it doesn't fit against the wall well at all. The mounting bracket pushes up on it and there is an unsightly gap all the way around it.
