These have amazing reviews, which largely impacted my decision to purchase them. They deserve the 5 star reviews they are getting. I'm honestly surprised at the level of quality for these with the price they are sold for. I was hesitant at first because I wasn't sure they would be comfortable or fit my counter height properly. Thankfully, they fit perfectly with the counter height and are comfortable as well. However, I wouldn't want to sit on one for the entire day. Pros: o Very sturdy construction o Amazing finish o Simple assembly o Good packaging o Price o Quality o All wood construction Cons: o Not comfortable after extended length of sitting (longer than a few hours) o Not enough wood glue These come packaged in a large box with three smaller boxes inside (attached photo). Each smaller box has one barstool inside with hardware and wood glue (attached photo). There was an extra screw in each barstool just in case but I found the amount of wood glue to be shy of what I required. This was easily remedied with some of my own wood glue. The instructions were easy to follow and I did a dry fit prior to gluing and screwing them together to ensure there were no issues. As previous reviews mentioned an ugly sticker on the seat I was nervous, but it was perfectly stuck to the bottom. Assembly of all three barstools took roughly 30 minutes. Most of this time was ensuring I got good coverage with the wood glue and all pieces inserted snugly prior to screwing them together. I followed the recommendation to let them sit for 24 hours prior first use. Only thing I added was felt to the bottom of the feet and some of my own wood glue, both of which I had on hand. Amazing purchase and experience as they arrived at my door in exactly 2 days with no damage to any of the packaging. Overall, I would buy these again and recommend them to anyone needing a solid barstool. ... show more

    • The pieces do NOT fit together
I have assembled some furniture over my many years of being on this earth and these are the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. I don't even know how a manufacturer could mess it up, it's not that many pieces. I followed the very limited instructions and there are still gaps all over the place. The pieces just DO NOT fit together. I have even attempted to use my brain and assemble them differently, but still the same problem. I wasn't expecting 3 little thrones, but I was at a minimum expecting the pieces to fit together smoothly. I am going to risk my family sitting on them and maybe my highlight of 2020 will be someone breaking them and falling. It'll probably be me. It's always me. ... show more

    • Beautiful but Difficult to Construct

The stools are beautiful! They are exactly what I wanted. I have put together lots of shelves, tv cabinets and a 3 drawer dresser. These stools are the EXTREMELY difficult to put together. I went back and reread the helpful hints I the reviews. I used them all and added some of my own. 1. Buy and use a ratchet strap to pull the legs together while the glue dries. 2 use real wood glue not the white stuff included. 3 purchase construction screws that require a star but to screw them in. 4. Put the legs together one at a time and glue it in, strap it until it dries, then do the second leg. After both legs are in the add the side rungs. 5. Put screws in last. I put two together and put off the third one for a while! ... show more

Each stool is boxed separately and each wooden part is wrapped in a thin sheet of foam. The cardboard shipping box is the exact size so the pieces cannot move during shipping insuring the pieces arrive perfect, without any damage. I do not have the patience for assembling wood furniture so you need to be prepared to love woodworking to assemble these. Eleven pieces of wood per stool has to be fitted, glued and screwed. Each stool takes about 45 minutes to assemble. I found the joints are crafted rather well but I did need a five pound hammer to pound some of the joints in order to achieve a gapless fit. Be sure to protect the wood from damage by using a piece of thick carpet. Fail to do this and you will incur unsightly dents in the otherwise perfect wood. I am very pleased with the end result. Three lovely stools but by no means are they very easy to assemble. Each stool weighs almost twelve pounds so in my opinion, the "Heavy Duty" description is accurate. I will recommend these with the caveat the buyer needs to be in the mood for assembling wood furniture. ... show more

Great, cute looking stools that have held up well. I have used these every day for a couple of months and they still look like new. Very sturdy and comfortable. I like the neutral gray color against my espresso kitchen cabinets, and the height is perfect for my kitchen island. My only wish is that the little stickers labeling the pieces for assembly were easier to remove. I cannot get the little "A" and "B" stickers off without leaving a ton of adhesive residue and struggling to get it looking clean, so I left most of them on. Packaged super nicely but unfortunately one stool top came broken in the box. The company was awesome about being very responsive and sending a new one out right away. A++ ... show more
