They were easy to assemble and they are sturdy. They served our purpose for them....they glide smoothly on the vinyl plank flooring. So far, (we’ve had them bout month and a half) they hold up very well. They were a good price for all 3. We like them.     • you won't like these dowels

Beware of assembly. I'm a general contractor and competent carpenter. It took me a couple hours to assemble a set of three of these, and doing so was more challenging than the average professional carpentry jobs I do. There are 16 glue joints per stool. That's a lot. It's tricky pulling all these joints together into a solid piece of furniture. If you've never glue joined furniture before, don't start with these. This is several times harder than assembling IKEA furniture and the results are not forgiving because of the of glue. If you are an experienced craftsman, you won't like these dowels. I had to sand every dowel to get a decent dry fit. The dowels were painted, that's why. Dry fitting is essential with these, or you'll find out a joint doesn't fit after the glue is already poured. The glue provided is a joke. Don't even consider using it. No idea what it is, but the quantity provided is enough to do 2 or 3 joints...not 16. One stool had badly misaligned dowel joints where the A frames met the seat. I had beat it into submission with a mallet. Not for inexperienced DIY folks. Even though I eventually got these 3 stools built and think the results are OK, I didn't get a bargain. The quality of the wood components was no better than decent. These are sturdy and look nice. The saddle seat is not very deep, which makes them less comfortable. Adults may not enjoy sitting on them for very long due to the narrow seat. Please note seat dimensions before you purchase them to ensure they fit your needs.

We purchased these stools about a month ago. They are easy to assemble and the overall quality is much nicer than we expected. They are solid wood and very strong. We also love the rich color. We are very happy with them! Also, when I contacted eHemco about a mistake I made in ordering, which was 100% MY fault, they were extremely helpful in making it right for me. I will absolutely be purchasing from this company again, though I hope to be less trouble for them next time! Great people. ... show more

The stools themselves are well made, the manufacturer could make it easier to put together by also marking the seat and I wish they had the dark walnut available to match my other bar stools which , by the way, I have had for a number of years. A couple of issues though: One of the tenon broke right away, I hope the glue and screw will keep that stool together. All of the glue included in the boxes was squashed and glue was all over the package. ... show more

Two went together rather easily, one leg didn't fit the hole well and it made the stool unbalanced. Sadly, I feel like the stools are not built well enough to handle an average size person. Nice chairs and just what we were looking for in the kitchen. However, they now do not look so good because of the superglued stickers they put right on the top that stated the weight limits. They must have used industrial glue or something because the stickers were on all three stools really well. We got them off - eventually - but the tops now look horrible. In one of my pictures you can still see the sticker outline from where it was. Based on the stickers alone, I wouldn't buy these again. Painful. ... show more

Bought this for my daughter but she didn't open it right away it was a house warming gift from me but when she did open it many pieces were missing it was three stools but we only had one complete stool the other 2 there were pieces missing so it was worthless wasted money.
