While the pliers do their job, they are pretty basic in terms of being a tool for extensions. I'm a man so a drawback is my hands are a little bigger but i think even for a woman, the way the handles are constructed(they are thin without any padding), once you use them a handful of times to crimp beads, it starts to be uncomfortable. Also the crimping area isn't very pronounced, even with the V on one side, when squeezed id doesn't really crimp them that well to prevent the extension from being pulled out.

If you’re thinking about getting these for extensions go with a different brand. I used these for the first time last week and after clamping ONE BEAD it snapped. I hadn’t used them for anything else. Very annoying.
