The mattress is also soft and breathable and the pressure relief provided by this mattress is exceptional. The strong edge support ensures that you won't feel like you're going to roll off the bed when you sleep near the edge. It may be too firm for those who prefer a softer sleeping surface. The mattress did have a slight off-gassing odor upon opening the box. Overall, I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone in the market for a comfortable and supportive hybrid mattress.

First of all, how cool is it you can get a rolled up mattress mailed to you? What a world we live in. Anyhow, the mattress itself came with no issues. The smell dissipated as the mattress rose, like they all do. I will say that for anyone over 150lbs, you will likely find this on the soft to very soft side of things. I'm in the 175lb range, and its a little squishy for my tastes. Then again, I like backpacking, so that gives you an idea of my preference of sleeping arraignments.

This mattress replaced a conventional spring mattress with a four inch memory foam pad on top. At first I thought it was too soft, but after sleeping on it a month it feels good. This mattress supports like a memory foam mattress. But were memory foam can feel like you are lying in a ditch, this does not nearly as much. It is still warm but not near as hot as memory foam. So basically it is comfortable and has good support like memory foam, but it has some advantages too. I seem to sleep longer at a stretch and am not as stiff in the morning.

We have purchased a few bed in a boxes before in our time- most were thinner coil mattresses or the memory foams, all of which are comfy for a couple months and then you wish you never bought them. This mattress is fantastic and much more than I expected for a bed in a box! Got this for my 12 year old, and it arrived while my mom was staying with us in town for a week. My 12 year old was able to unbox this and set it out on his own, however needed some assistance from dad to get it on the bed and perfectly situated. My mom and I went to check it out and it was already sprung out to the full size in a matter of minutes- although we did make sure to keep my 12 year old off of it to make sure it didn't need to fill out more. We all took turns laying on it and it is EXTREMELY comfortable- so much more so than my king mattress. This definitely has that in between soft and firm, which gives the perfect support you need all over. Everyone has been so impressed with this mattress including my mom who could not get over how nice it was especially for coming out of a box. And my 12 year old loves it! Would definitely recommend- so much so I'm on the hunt for the king size!

To let the mattress puff up, it stood vertically for one day and then flat the other. Before it was used, a mattress pad was put on top, but it was pretty squishy and soft, so I'm pretty sure it didn't make that large of a difference in the feeling. The mattress is very comfy, not squeaky at all. However, it does seem to lean more towards the stiff and bouncy side than the soft and squishy side. Personally, I prefer soft and squishy, so this isn't my preferred mattress, but my boyfriend really likes it and thinks it's very very good. In my opinion, though, I would get one with more squish to it.
