  • It is not as easy as I wanted
I thought this would be a fun game for my little girls 8 &4, they played while I watched and taught them, but it was a bit harder than I thought it should be. The cups don’t rest together easily. The lips and edges on the bottom seem like the were not made to sit on each other. You can do it, but it isn’t just a pattern game, it’s also balancing game. And for the age that would be interested this product it is a bit too hard. My 4 your old could do it, but it was more frustrating than fun. The 8 yr old got it faster, but again it was sometimes unstable and difficult. They haven’t played it again. ... show more

  • Fun Game, but a Bit Flimsy
We played this game with our five-yr old who was super excited to play. The instructions were a little bit confusing, not so much as you couldn't figure it out but it was very much laid out subjectively so we just ran with it. The cups are smaller than I expected so when stacking some of the combos, some of the cups weren't sturdy and the stack would topple. As that part didn't appear as part of the game play instructions, I have a feeling that's not the intent. We finally figured out a way to may make play work but I would be prepared to have an instruction given around the stack toppling (in our case we just said to restack and keep going). ... show more

  • The Race Is On To Stack Teacups And Saucers
Our kids, age 3 and 5, enjoy this silly teacup game. It involves matching up teacups to saucers (shown on an order card), and then balancing that set to an awaiting tea tray about 15 feet away. Players race back to study their cards for the next saucer/teacup sequence—this is done four times. The first player to complete their stack then rings the bell and yells “tea time.” The winner can collect their card as a point, and play can begin again. Besides the added action, this game promotes coordination, balance and following sequences. It helps to have kids of similar ages playing together, but the game can also be played as teams. We sometimes have an adult on each side to temper the pace. Another option is to simply not use the order cards, and let kids build their stacks in whatever order they like—first one to finish is the winner. That way is a bit easier but still fun. Teacup Pile-Up is a simple game that’s easy to learn, and it’s a hit with our two tea party fans. They like the assortment of cups/saucers that come with the game—nicely designed with an old-fashioned look. All pieces store away nicely in the sturdy outer box. ... show more

  • My 3 year old loves this
If you have a 3 year old, she will love this! My daughter is always playing with her teacups and filling with water. However, this teapot does not open, but you can press down on the lid top makes a click sound. The cups are tiny, but adorable. I took off a star because the pink cup saucer doesn't fit on top of the cup for staking very well. All the other cups either go on the outside of the coaster groove circle, or goes on the inside, but the pink color just sits right on the circle part of the coaster so it makes it super unstable. I told my daughter to just stack in on top so she didn't get frustrated. ... show more

  • Can Be Challenging But So Fun!
This Tea Cup Pile Up game is so fun! I had a blast playing it with my kiddo. There were some tears at first when a few of the tea cup towers toppled over, and I had to explain that’s why the game is challenging and it’s about practicing how to balance everything. Once we got over that hurdle, and a few extra practice rounds, we both just loved it! There’s enough components to build 2 towers per face-off challenge—each side includes 1 flat thick cardboard tray, 4 plates and 4 cups (all of that x2 for the whole game). The card shows the order in which the tower needs to built for each round, and the first person to build it without it falling over dings the tea pot bell as the winner. The tea pot bell isn’t very pronounced in its sound, which is a good thing that it’s not too loud, but a little underwhelming when you’re excited to ring the bell when you win! It's just a charming design for a stacking and pattern recognition game, and it's definitely fun! Five stars! ... show more

  • Adorable and makes a great toy even if not doing it as the game
My little girl (4 years old) loves using this as a tea set over a game, but considering she only has adults and animals to play with it's fine. At some point we'll use it as a game when she has friends over. But for right now it's just a really good tea set. The quality is near one of the high price named brand tea sets to me but I can see them breaking easily if stepped on but being thrown around and dropped won't break them. It's a great game, although the "serving trays" came bent and thus don't sit flat and won't get used because of that. But everything else works and stacks nicely when being stacked and the quality is good, very giftable and easy to learn. Teaches colors and skills by stacking along with to slow down when trying to stack or having to redo it all over again. ... show more

  • Great products
I love the variety of items that came in this box and can teach kids about different items we use in the kitchen. If you have a girl, you can play Tea Party with them.
