The media could not be loaded. At first glance, this game seems like it would be more for little kids but I’d say my 8yo daughter and her 8 and 9yo cousin had more fun than my 3 and 5yo 😂 This is a CUTE and SIMPLE game that toddlers and elementary kids can play and enjoy. It is conceptually simple but I was surprised how much the older kids liked it anyway. The only problem was they were MUCH faster than the younger kids and dominated the game. I loved the big colorful frogs and the big dice (with frogs on them instead of dots). It’s visually appealing and easy to manipulate for the younger kids. I think the matching cards could be thicker and wonder how durable they will be in the future but we’ve played with them a few times and they are fine. The one thing I’d say is that the actual game seems a little hard to grasp conceptually for my 3yo and even 5yo because it’s a speed game. But I like how the game emphasizes counting and matching. I think for my 3yo the game aspect of competing to get the frog first is hard but like another reviewer said- you can make up other games and use them in different ways to teach counting and matching. I like the versatility of these manipulatives because I’ve been able to use the cards, frog and dice to reinforce counting and matching colors. My little one also likes the idea that she can participate in a game with her older sisters (with help). Such a simple but effective game for my 4 year old! It not only reinforces counting, matching numbers and colors, but it also helps build kids’ reflexes. This game is easy to learn and easy to play! I first taught my five year old the rules of the game so that she could teach her younger sister how to play! Not only did she quickly learn how to play but thoroughly enjoyed playing with the whole family! Both the kids got pretty quick at recognizing the number and picking up the frogs! We absolutely love this game! My kids (ages 3 & 5) have literally been asking to play this game every single day since it was delivered! My 3 year old especially loves this game and I love that she is continuing to practice her colors and she is also learning how to count and match. My kids want to play this over and over again and I love that they are learning so much including learning how to wait your turn patiently. There are so many different ways to play this game and we’ve already made up a few different ways to play this game. The little frogs are adorable and durable and the cards are nice and thick. I had originally purchased this game for a kiddo who is only 3 years old. Now I’ll work with kids for a living and teach them new skill sets. I feel as if instructions and directions to this game are above the skill level of a 3-year-old like it is listed. I don’t believe that a child under the age of 7 would understand this game. Such a cute and well-made toy. I’m always impressed with the quality of toys from Educational Insights. Great for practicing colors and counting. We’ve played this a lot since we got it a few weeks ago. The chubby little frogs are bright and colorful, and my 2 & 4 year olds get excited when we play. The play cards are durable and hold up nicely. I love how my little ones are learning the basics of game playing (dice rolling, taking turns, easy set and and put away). My 6 year old came up with her own twist on the classic kids card game of ‘Go Fish’, calling it ‘Go Frog’. It’s played the same way, but with a fun switch up! ... show more

    • Great to reinforce counting and color skills
I bought this game for my 3 year old, and my whole family has enjoyed it. I love the big dice and easy to see flies on them. The frogs are cute and the colors are primary, which makes them easy to identify. I love that this game reinforces simple counting skills with addition of color matching. While the exact directions are probably more for age 4 or older, we were able to modify for my 3 year old.
