This duvet cover is not soft at all. It’s actually very rough. I have washed it 3 times and it’s still scratchy. I’m not a fan. It also acts like velcro for pet hair. Straight out of the dryer there’s still fur on it. The colors are great and I really like the pattern. It is also well made with sturdy seams. But, when I don’t want to sit on my bed because it’s rough and scratchy, that’s a no for me. 10.12.2022 Update: I used this from Nov 2021 until about Feb 2022. It’s been washed many times and it’s finally soft. I just put it on the bed for fall and it’s been very cozy. I changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars because it’s finally soft and it has held up to weekly washings without showing wear and tear. I really love this comforter - it is a well made, quality item. I will say it shows ALL pet hair so I had to get a pet roller. I was also bummed that it didn't come with the bear/dog pillows pictured...you have to go find/buy those separately.
