Let me start by saying that I LOVED this duvet set for my 12 year old son’s room. It reminded me of the collegiate look coupled by a clean ruggedness. We did a complete remodeling of this bedroom purchasing furniture, matching paints, replacing doors and trim all to accentuate the pattern and colors. I purchased in January 2017, but it did not make a debut until the room was “done” in May. The fabric felt a bit thin, but the duvet still was true to the look provided by the photo above and I was hopeful of its integrity. Much to my disappointment, the fabric tore at one of the buttons and shortly after I found another tear right on the face of the duvet. Okay, so I know it’s been over a year and it’s in a boy’s room, but this is not the first duvet set I’ve purchased. Bought this to use with a king down comforter. I insist on getting duvet covers with corner ties. Otherwise, the comforter tends to migrate around inside the duvet, leaving one of us literally out in the cold. The ad copy above clearly says "Duvet cover features button closure, and includes inside ties to hold the comforter in place." So, upon opening, I washed and dried the set, went to install the comforter, and...no corner ties. Grrr. Time to break out the safety pins. Otherwise, comforter fabric is thin and not particularly soft. Color looks good. ... show more

I've purchased two different duvet covers from Eddie Bauer and I love the both. Covers are button closer at the foot of the bed, seems sturdy. My previous covers buttons are still going strong 3yrs later and I launder my bed linen at least once a week. Pillow shams open in the middle. The color has held up to regular washing with bleach for at least a few months now. ... show more

Originally purchased to coordinate with red and black plaid flannel bedsheets and holiday throw pillows over Christmas, and it worked great.
