The books all fall forward. So in a way it’s not really a display because you can’t even see the title of the book. I’m talking about Hardback picture books for kids. Maybe chapter books or much smaller books would be better kind of disappointed, but the look of the actual Display is nice

Definitely higher quality construction and wood than most children’s bookcases. I love how many books it holds and how perfectly it fit into our space (looks custom). Two nit picks… (1) There are exposed screw heads visible across the front face of the bookcase (~5 per shelf) that I filled with natural colored wood filler to hide for obvious aesthetic reasons. The vendor should have done this as those parts were preassembled and visible screws really detract from the overall look. (2) The screws on the sides should be countersunk to hide the heads. Instead they sit above the surface of the wood. We had to use a countersinking drill bit so they would be flush with the wood (primarily so the bookcase would fit in our opening). All in all, this bookcase is well made and will last years to come. Highly recommend with these few minor tweaks. ... show more

Put this together by myself in less than an hour. Key was laying all the pieces out on the floor with the code letters exposed. Instructions pretty good. Just need to be patient. Of course, never over-tighten the screws. Books stand up nice. Looks great in what will be grandkids room when they visit. ... show more
