Received the product in 2 boxes. Assembly: it is not easy, but manageable with one more person. It took me a bit of time ~ 3 hours. As another post mentioned, I needed to drill holes for the wheels. The most compelling reason for this shelf is the ability to open and close it. Hence it was ironic that I had to drill it myself to ensure that it opens and closes. The guides for the attaching the latch was also off. By the time I reached that portion, I was comfortable enough using the drill. I followed the instructions exactly, and had no issues. Usage: Kid loves it. Especially with online school, it was becoming a mess. Now my daughter is able to organize everything. The biggest plus is that she can close the shelf by herself after school work. Recommendation: Good. Go ahead and get it. ... show more

This is perfect for all my kids toys and puzzles and books. However, I thought the shelves would be wide enough to put shoe size bins set straight out instead of across to allow more space for more toys. You can't use them that direction and still close the unit. Love the concept and definitely cheaper to buy than make yourself...trust me I tried, lol...but get smaller bins or buy the bigger model so you can take advantage of the closure option. ... show more

The product takes some time to put together, and you have to drill your caster holes yourself. But it is a pretty cabinet, good quality, opens and closed smoothly. I'm pleased with that. Unfortunately, there is a big gap between the two sides (about 1.5 inches) when the two halves are closed. This means kids will be able to drop things down into the cabinet, which makes it useless for a kids area... It was put together correctly, it is just a flaw in the design. You can see this gap in some of the review photos, though it's not super clear unless you know to look for it. Wanted to warn others in case you are planning on using it in a kids area. If you need a solid shelf, this will certainly meet that standard. If your expectation is that it will fit like a puzzle, you will probably end up as frustrated as I did. The shelves don’t all slide in as smooth as they should and some of the joints don’t line up properly. We haven’t even messed with trying to put the castors on. It’s heavy and hard to maneuver without them so that will be the next step. We will update if we ever end up making it all for like it should… ... show more
