These sponges are super soft and great for blending make up but they cannot be washed without falling apart.

The shape is incredible for applying makeup and the finish is great. However after a few washes using their brand, the develop rips and fall apart.

These do seem comparable to high end beauty blenders, but I've never actually liked "Beauty Blender" egg style blenders. I prefer smaller, over (flat) sponges, which are harder to find. I bought this set because it came with several different types of sponge blenders, hoping I would like at least one since my older flat sponges are finally falling apart. These just seemed to "smear" the foundation on my face, whereas my previous sponges actually blended it in to my skin. Maybe this is user error, but I'll stick with my usual sponges from now on. The cleaning balm that came with this works ok, but I found that dish soap cleans much more quickly and thoroughly.

I have used egg shape sponges from other name brands. But I found the Ecotools total perfecting blender in this kit blends my liquid foundation better if not the best. I usually use the tip for small areas around the nose, eyes, etc. Then soak the sponge and use it wet for my face. They clean up well using the included cleansing balm. The egg sponge in a travel case and the cleansing balm travel well. But I usually carry a spare a zip bag when traveling because the egg sponge would not fit in the case if not totally dry. When the sponges are wet, I just use the zip bag to carry them all. I have washed these sponges too many times and they held up really well so far. Just need to remember not to squeeze the sponge too hard if they're not completely wet. The green sponges are very soft when wet. I have not yet master them. They felt like my disposable sponge wedges, only larger. I bring them in the zip bag when traveling as backup because the egg sponge takes a long time to dry after cleaning. The cleansing balm is very convenient for cleaning the sponge after each use. But it's the best for cleaning brushes. After the balm cleaning, my brushes wipe clean on white tissue paper. It's one of the best brush cleaners I've used.

I like the way they both are when I use them wet, i did think the triangle was great using dry too but me personally i prefer to use the other one wet only vs dry…. i’ve had no issues with the triangle but after cleaning the sponge a few times it started to tear pretty quickly than any other brands iive used. Great price though!

I have tons of different sponges, Beauty Blender, RT, Anastasia, m2uNYC and so on. I bought this little kit bc it was on sale and I love these sponges. The grey sponges are very soft when wet and absorb way less product than BB, and they give a glassy smooth foundation application. They are also perfect for blending and moist powder application. The green wedges are great for concealer under the eye, the texture is softer than the grey and they absorb more product but I wouldn't use for foundation so I don't really care. Lastly, I LOVE the little brush cleaner that comes with the set. It's fragrance free and doesn't have a harsh detergent smell that sticks to your hands which some fragrance free cleaners have, and it even has a silicone cleaning pad in the tin.
