  • Works with multiple ports.

Most powerful and a true 300 watts on a sunny day.

  • It's the form factor
Size: 300W
I am new to solar, bought this to go with a generator. Shipped outside of the US so had to pay for the weight. It has worked well so far. I recently compared it with a traditional solar panel which is huge and quite heavy. For the size it is very effective and efficient.

  • Works great with ecoflow
Size: 300W
Works very well with ecoflow power station . Took it camping and was able to charge from 85%to 100% in 50 minutes full sun . Just the other day I put it outside to charge and was pulling about 230w . The downside is moving the panels around if you are under trees in the forest. Other than that it works, would recommend it ... show more

  • Clever design
Size: 300W
I have tested a lot of portable solar panels, and most are designed for smaller power stations as their operating output voltage is around 20 volts. Most larger power stations require a higher voltage to charge. These panels put out 48 volts and will work with my large Pecron unit. I have tried other 300-watt portable panels, which are very heavy and large. These take a different approach in that there are six smaller panels instead of three large ones. This makes the overall packing size better, and the panels are easier to transport (I use them in my camper van). They are also lighter, which is another huge plus. Weight is only 6 kg. Naturally, everything is a compromise, and the smaller/lighter panels are also a bit floppy, making the setup slightly more awkward. However, this is a good compromise as far as I'm concerned. The panels have some grommet holes on each end, but I would be reluctant to hang them by them. However, they could be used to help secure the panels. There is a nice storage pouch on the back. The main output is via MC4, and a patch cord is included that provides Anderson, TX60, and an 8020 barrel connector. This panel should be compatible with about 90% of higher-wattage battery banks/solar generators right out of the box. The one drawback is that no weather rating (rain) is listed, and the instructions explicitly say not to get the panels wet. Most panels will tolerate some rain. This means you will need to babysit your panels. In the wild, you should do this anyway, as leaving expensive panels unattended is an invitation for theft. However, I would feel more comfortable if the panels could handle at least some water on them. Hence, 4 stars instead of 5. With all of the above considered, these are very nice panels and I appreciate the compromises as the smaller size and ligter weight do make a difference. ... show more

  • Convenient Collapse-and-Carry, but has Large Footprint when Open, and CHECK YOUR VOLTS
Size: 300W
Before I even get to specific comments about this solar panel, be sure to check the DC input voltage on your solar generator first. This solar panel generates 40 volts and will work with solar generators rated for 40 or more volts only. Check the specifications in your generator’s manual. Look for “DC Input” or “Solar Charge Input.” The value should be a range from 12 volts to XX volts. That XX needs to be 40 or greater, or this solar panel is not compatible with your generator: either it won’t work at all or it could damage your generator. Some smaller as well as older solar generators have a maximum DC input voltage of 25 or 30 volts, so be sure to double check. (If you can’t find your original manual, you can find PDF copies online.) In terms of this solar panel, on the one hand, I really like that it’s a complete one-piece unit. The 6 panels fold over themselves into a 19” x 23” carrying case with handle that buckles shut and weighs only 16 pounds. Even better, the charging cord is permanently attached to the solar panel and just tucks into a zippered pouch on the outside of the case. So it truly is a one-piece unit – there’s no chance of misplacing the charging cords or worse, losing one at a camping or work site. But with this one-piece convenience comes two issues. First, when you unfold all 6 panels, the solar charger is 9’ 4” long. See a photo of it stretched out on my deck: it’s a long run. This means you need to find a 10-foot-wide swath of direct sunshine (that’s also free of any ground obstacles) to hit the entire solar panel. If you’re on golf course, sure, no problems. But if, for example you’re in a wooded area or a very wet area, it might be difficult to find a suitable charging location. Other solar chargers typically come in shorter pairs that you can connect with a Y-cable. This allows you to put one right behind the other or even in separate locations (with an extension cable), making it much easier to find suitable charging locations. And with this nearly 10-foot wide panel, you’ll need to adjust its position more frequently as shadows are more likely to affect it as the sun moves. The more compact you can make the solar panel footprint, the less babysitting you’ll need to do, but this one-piece long panel does not give you any options. The second issue with its nearly 10-foot length is that it’s somewhat clumsy to setup using the flip-out support legs (see photo of the backside of the panel with all 6 legs extended). It truly becomes a comedy of errors trying to set this up. You’ll start at one end, pulling each leg out to stand that panel up on an angle and work your way down. By the time you’re at the 5th or 6th panel, if you jiggle the entire charger too much trying to get the last couple of legs pulled out, the first legs (or even all of them) can collapse right back down. So then you start from the other side and work back, only to have the same thing happen again when you make it back to the first couple of legs. And this occurred on my very level deck. I can only imagine the challenge of getting all 6 legs extended on uneven terrain. Bottom line: it really helps to have a second person setup this charger with you so there’s a person at each end to hold it steady until all 6 legs are extended. Two other comments worth mentioning: first, compared to the brand name panels that came with my solar generators, these seem much less durable. They’re substantially thinner and flex quite a bit, so I do worry that these panels might not stand up to much accidental abuse. Second, the included cable has 3 available DC interfaces: XT60, Anderson, and DC8020. Two of my generators have DC7909 interfaces (very similar to DC8020 but with a much thinner middle pin). One of those generators also has an Anderson interface, so I am able to use the Anderson connector with that generator. But the other generator has only a DC7909 interface, so I had to purchase an adapter. Older and smaller generators are more likely to have DC7909 interfaces, so double check what DC connectors are available on your generator. If you have only a DC7909 interface, just search Amazon for a “DC7909 male to DC8020 female adapter” – they’re cheap and you just need one to use with this solar panel. ... show more

  • Very good 300 watt portable solar panel system.
Size: 300W
The media could not be loaded. So far, I really like this panel system. It deploys quickly and gets the rated output with full sunlight. It's fairly lightweight and small enough to stow away easily. The included breakout cable is 14 gauge and has several popular connections. I would recommend they put a thicker cable from the panel output box to the MC4 connectors. The legs have wide range of adjustment to get the best possible angle from the sun. Overall,, I'm very happy with the design and build quality of these portable solar panel systems. ... show more
