The media could not be loaded. I ordered this bowl to see if it would work as a potential Christmas gift this year. Before I gift it out with the a family recipe on it I used this one to see if 1. was it big enough and 2. how it did in the fridge. The size ended up being perfect for the recipe I intend to use it for (a potato salad recipe that is made with a 5 pound bag of potatoes)! However the fridge test didn’t do as well. The lid, when it chilled in the fridge, bowed up and no longer lays flat across the top anymore. The problem is the lid is made of bamboo which looks amazing! But the design is flawed because the three layers of bamboo that make the lid are all going in the same direction. The middle layer of bamboo should have been crossed to prevent the fibers from all bowing together and allowing the lid to curve slightly. So keep that in mind… it already didn’t seal when the lid was flat. It just sits on the top of the bowl. Now that it’s curved slightly it really doesn’t seal so don’t expect to use the lid and bowl together as a food storage container in the fridge. It makes a beautiful bowl for pot lucks and such just will have to transfer to a sealing container. ... show more

I needed a large, attractive salad bowl for buffet dinners. This fit the bill. The bowl was large enough to contain a salad that served 12 adults, and would also be perfect for transporting a salad since it has a cover that holds the service utensils. Best purchase ever.

Everyone comment how slick and nice. But Fork gets easily broken. Second time use in the picnic, it broke when it hit the ground for the first time. I wish seller sells fork as an individual item. There is no serving fork can fit in the spot.
