    • Keeps things very frozen but awkward to move
I use -6 degree cold plates in this cooler. The cold plates are only supposed to stay cold for 4-6 hours, but this cooler has kept my merchandise frozen for 10 hours. It was opened and closed A LOT at the long event and I didn’t have any issues with melting merchandise. I have two of these coolers due to the performance if the insulation. The only negative is the handle and wheel configuration. The handle isn’t long enough and it bangs your ankles/calves if you walk in front if it, or you have to walk next to it with an awkward lean. This thing is heavy when loaded, so it’s tough to lift for me. Thankfully I don’t usually move it far, but it’s something to consider. I think a rigid handle and bigger wheels would make this cooler better. It’s hard to roll on anything that isn’t smooth because the wheels are so small. ... show more

    • keeps food cold for days, a fraction of the yeti price
perfect size cooler for a 2-3 day trip. keeps food cold for 24-30 hours from my experience (depending on how hot it is outside, but of course put it in the shade with large chunks/a broken up block of ice to keep it long lasting, duh), and its a fraction of the price of yeti. its a no brainer. also love the bottle opener built in, and the cup holders are nice but a bit to shallow to be of much use unless the cooler isn't moving (such as a on a boat forget it). very sturdy and durable, I'm 200+ pounds and I use it as a casual step ladder sometimes and its still rock solid. great buy overall. ... show more

We took this to the beach thus summer. TX was blazing hot this summer. The ice did melt down as expected, we were out all day long, due to the heat. We refilled with ice daily due to the high Temps. Thus is a durable item and we would buy again. As suggested, open the drain valve before opening the lid on the cooler itself. Great color!! ... show more

Hi! I don’t do reviews but since I looked up from my game and laid eyes upon what I did I figured why not share.. I’ve used this cooler 3 times now, it’s kept ice for roughly five days, nice plug with finger ring makes draining it a breeze, the latches could be made a big more industrial strength for the price, but all in all I don’t regret the purchase, and heck if it should begin to fail me, my Charlie thinks it’s a wonderful $100 hidey place. 😅 ... show more

    • Does NOT hold ice for more than a day
I don't usually leave reviews but this thing was super disappointing. I got this cooler with high hopes that it would be a major upgrade from our $40 Coleman cooler, but it's actually worse at keeping things cold. I followed all the steps to pre-chill the cooler as well as all the items that were going to be in it, even put the whole thing in the fridge for a solid 24 hours with ice in it. We loaded it up and added a bunch more ice and within 24 hours pretty much all of the ice was completely melted. This is in varying temperatures but a large chunk was in an air conditioned car and at night in the mountains where it got pretty chilly. We ended up having to drive about 3 hours round trip to the closest store that had ice, otherwise we were for sure going to loose all of our meats and other perishables. We loaded it up to the brim with ice but again, all of the ice was completely melted within 24 hours. We concluded that this cooler is actually better at absorbing the heat around it than it is the cold from within. This thing actually sucks worse than our cheapo cooler. Save your money and get a cheap one or go for the gusto with a tried and true Yeti. ... show more

    • Not what I hoped for
It certainly does not live up to the claim as to how long ice lasts. I was lucky have about 25 % of the initial ice volume left 24 hours later. That was with air temperatures in the 70s out of the sun. I also agree with some reviews regarding the pull down latch system. Seems like that is not going to last too long. I have a Igloo BMX cooler, similar design and size, and that cooler is much better at keeping ice levels longer and the latch system feels more solid and up for the job if you plan on using the cooler more than occasionally. If you plan to use it for a day activity such as a tailgate, picnic, etc., then probably good enough but if you are looking for something that can get you 2 days or more before refills, I’d look at something else. ... show more

Keeps drinks cold in the hot AZ weather for a couple of days! Perfect size for leaving on the golf cart and taking to the pool. Would be great to use for getting groceries home in the summer heat.

Nothing is perfect, but this is close. I would say, if it had wheels, it would be even closer to perfect. It is a good looking, well-made ice chest with useful features. We really like it. It withstood a long trip to the beach, and I would not choose a different one, unless this one had wheels!
