I purchased this compressor based on the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. During installation, I encountered several quality issues that ultimately led me to remove the unit. The main problem was with the suction line seal. The recess in the compressor housing was too small in diameter to properly accommodate the sealing washer and hose connector, resulting in a persistent leak. Additionally, I noticed that the threaded holes on the back of the compressor were not consistent in size, which complicated mounting. The three main mounting holes also appeared to be misaligned or poorly drilled—the compressor barely fit onto the mounting studs. The photos clearly show that the sealing washer and hose connector are larger than the recess in the compressor housing, which caused the sealing issue. Given these problems, I cannot recommend this product. I’ll be returning it and going with a Denso brand compressor instead. ... show more

I was skeptical because this is the cheapest air-conditioning compressor I could find. I have a 2014 Toyota FJ cruiser and figured I’d give this a shot. It was a direct Bolton. It has the seven vain belt and it plugs in to the harness. Nothing had to be modified. The description does say that it comes for the oil and it does but it is PAG 100 and from the looks of it most Toyotas run on PAG 64 so I drained the oil by splitting it and then injected 3 ounces of PAG 64 it runs smoothly provided you do it correctly and pull the vacuum on your air conditioning system. I have had it installed for the past six days and have had no issues out of it it runs smoothly. The clutch works nicely and the AC system blows very cold! We’ll see how long it runs.
