I have a 10-year-old 3000-watt gas powered generator out back. Took care of it so it could take care of the house. But I'm almost 70 now and I don't want to go outside in a storm strong enough to knock the power out. We've been looking for an "inside the house" solution and this EBL Power Station was it. We looked at what we really needed to get through the first few hours of losing power. We needed a TV or 2, internet and cable router, fridge, deep freezer and, if at night, a light or two. Reading the reviews to see how others used it, we knew a 1000-watt Power Station would be the right size to get us through the toughest time, the first few hours. It came about 52% charged. Around 4 hours later it was fully charged. I plugged my freezer in (85 watts when cycling) at 7 pm and checked it at 7 am. It was reading 58%. I found that to be pretty darn good, about the same as others were getting. More than enough to get you through the night. This Power Station is well built, is a great size and is easy to operate. The directions were clear which was nice. While it is a bit heavy, I'm only moving it from the utility room to near the fridge, 10 feet, so not a big deal. Watch the price like I did. It was 499 with a 100-dollar coupon. We jumped on it and are glad we did. If you want an easy solution to tide you over in a jam, get this. ... show more

Does the job ran my fridge when power went out Lil pricy for the run time of it. But great when you can't get a gas one or in a pinch. I bought the 200 watt solar charger also but yet to use it. Run you fan, lights and TV for about 15-20 hours or you fridge for upto 17hours. Than use a solar charger to extended usage ... show more

    • Holds a good Charge.. for C-PAP machine, it can last 6 nights in a row.

Good Unit. So far, 14 months and 9 camping trips. If just for iphones and light stuff, you only use 2% of a full charge. For C-PAP (no heater), you drain 15% with heater for humidity on, 30% per night. I also use this for charging our e-bikes...they suck up all the power but with 1 x 100 Watt power, I can get back up to 50%. I use a solar charger to top it off... makes me feel cool the power is "SOLAR" and no carbon foot print (well, the panels did take CO2 and the Device to make it. It is rather heavy, not for a hiking trip. But in a base camp or at home, it is great. I used it to power a vacuum cleaner for car.. 20 minutes later, 13% use. You can NOT use this to boil coffee or a space heater.. draws too much power (1400 watts) and the unit shuts down if over 1000W. Would be great they come out with a LioFePhos type (4000x charges vs 450 cycles for Lithion Ion). ... show more
