I've been trying to find numbing cream for epilating, and nooothing was working (aspercreme, lidocaine spray, etc.) First try: I applied a thin layer on my arm and rubbed it in. Nothing for 30 mins. I actually almost returned the item because i thought it was a dud. Second try: I read some reviews and tried applying a thicker layer (NOT rubbing in) and wrapping my arm in plastic wrap. An hour later, my arm is so numb, I was surprised at how well it worked!! I felt no pain epilating, it's great. I put a generous layer of cream on the area and wrapped it with plastic wrap about an hour before my appointment. I barely felt anything for the first 40 minutes or so, then some discomfort, and some real pain about an hour in. Next time I'll try applying the cream around 30 minutes before my appointment.

I was finishing a half sleeve that was more painful than expected during my 1st session. For my 2nd session I wanted to use this. I followed the guidance of other reviews and slabbed a bunch on the area (did not rub in) and wrapped in plastic wrap for about two hours prior to the appt. My arm was completely numb. During the tattoo session I couldn’t feel a thing on initial skin break but in parts where shading is required to go over and over you will feel it where the skin in broken. All in all it I was able to cut my pain by about 70% and push the worst of the pain to the end which made the session extremely more manageable. I would use again

I just got home from getting a spine tattoo done and another one on my inner forearm and let me tell ya, I was so nervous because i was seeing mixed reviews and people saying to do it 2/3 hrs before and some to only do it 40 min before. So I’m going to tell you exactly how I did it because it worked and I barely felt a thing and when I say barely, it’s a tattoo after all, you’re going to feel something. So I slapped that stuff on like icing on a cake, a very thick layer (don’t rub in) and then wrapped it with Saran Wrap. I did this about two hours before my appointment. While I was on my way there, I was poking and prodding myself because I was having anxiety thinking it wasn’t going to work but I was already numb by that point! Now here’s where I was worried, I was told that the peak numbness would only last an hour… it lasted waaaaayy longer than that. During my spinal tattoo, it took 90% of the pain away, I nearly fell asleep. I only felt slight stinging here and there but absolutely nothing compared to what it could’ve been. For my forearm, there was more shading and filling involved so I’d say the numbing cream took about 87% of the pain away while there was some stinging in between but that’s mostly where the skin was broken and so that is to be expected. Over all, brilliant product and I will definitely be using this again for my big thigh tattoo coming soon! Hope that helped some of you!
