I started a stomach tattoo and only made it about 30 minutes in before needing to stop because of how bad the pain was. I came back and tried another numbing cream, but had a severe reaction to it. I tend to have a hard time with skin related products, but a friend who also has sensitive skin recommended this one. I did a test patch beforehand, and it didn't cause any issues so I decided to go ahead and try it for my tattoo. WOW. It made the tattoo nearly unnoticeable throughout most of it. Some areas, like right on my ribs, still sucked. However, down on my stomach it worked so well I could ONLY feel the vibration of the tattoo gun. I was able to sit for an hour and a half before it wore off, and it was an INSANE difference on how much less painful the tattoo was. My artist also didn't notice anything weird with my skin, it didn't feel rubbery or change the texture at all. I have used this product twice now, for a wax and for a rib tattoo. It works so much better than I could have ever hoped for!!! My wax was only slightly painful because I wiped it off too early however it was still bearable. However my RIB TATTOO.. I waited to wipe it off until right before we started and I actually didn’t feel anything. When we first started the tattoo I had to ask if we started cause I didn’t feel it at all! My tattoo took about 30 min and towards the end I had started feeling a bit of pain but it was still bearable maybe like 4/10 pain. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend!! How I used the cream: I lathered the area I wanted numb with a THICK layer of cream and covered it with cling wrap at least an hour before my treatment. Removed with a towel or paper towel. I recently used this when I got a tattoo that went all the way around my wrist. I applied a thin layer when I got out of the shower, then after drying off applied a THICK layer and covered it with plastic wrap. I left that on until she started the work - between drive time, waiting and drawing it was a little less than 1 1/2 hours. The tattoo itself took about that long and I didn't feel anything until near the end. When we started and she was wiping the lotion off and drawing the design, I could not feel anything! Just pressure that something was happening to my arm. LOL This was recommended to me by my tattoo artist and the receptionist, who had used it. They recommended it b/c they knew it worked for pain but also b/c they knew the ingredients did not alter the way the ink was absorbed (and could ruin your tat). Apparently, some pain cream and oils do something to the skin that can change how the ink sets and can make for not-so-great line work (and a crappy tattoo). This product worked well until about 2 mins into the tattoo. I started feeling all the pain. And I know everyone's gonna think you aren't supposed to use this for tattoos. But there is literally a tattoo numbing cream with word for word the same ingredients. So I'm not sure what happened here.

This will be a bit long but please read if you want honest review for your decision especially because I never write reviews. So I ordered this yesterday on a whim because I’m getting a tattoo tomorrow. I haven’t had a tattoo in about three years, and this one is going to be much more detailed compared to the last one so I figured why not get something to help even though I have a decent pain tolerance. I also am due for a Brazilian wax, so I thought a perfect time to see if this actually work in an activity that also hurts lol. I read a bunch of reviews before hand, and followed what seemed to work for most people. I put the cream on in a icing consistency around my area and covered with cling wrap and then put on some spandex shorts bc they were tight enough to hold in place. I proceeded to cook dinner and then watched a couple episodes of a show which totaled to about 2-2.5 hours. I decided to pinch myself in multiple areas to see if it worked and I couldn’t feel the pinch! I was actually pretty shocked because I pinched myself specifically in the areas that are the most sensitive and that’s when I jumped up to get to waxing! I sugar wax which is usually less painful to me compared to hard wax, but I still have to go in small sections when doing it myself and can take hours and even days to finish because it takes forever. Upon further inspection, I noticed that I got my period so this will really test whether this product does what it’s supposed to. I went ahead and wiped off the cream using some baby wipes ( I wiped over it a few times bc I wanted to make sure the wax stuck to the hair) , then put some baby powder on and started waxing. I decided to wax in much bigger sections than usual because go big or go home baby and...nothing! I was genuinely expecting no hair to be pulled out but as I looked down I was happy to see that I was smooth like a jar of peanut butter after being left in a hot car. I whispered, “Aw hell yeah” multiple times to myself and proceeded to feverishly continue waxing myself out of pure excitement and also trying to work fast as I wasn’t sure how long the numbing would last. I quite literally finished the top half in 5 minutes. I then moved to the sides and the bottom because those are less sensitive compared to the middle. I finished those in about five minutes as well, but decided to put another layer of the cream first bc I could tell that it was still a bit sensitive. The parts that I had just waxed were still numb so I’m thinking that it didn’t wear off that fast, I just didn’t put enough cream and/or needed to just leave it on longer in that area. I’m currently waiting for the second round so I can finish waxing. As of now, I am very impressed with this product and I am sure I will be impressed tomorrow when using it for my tattoo. I will hopefully remember to update this review once done with my tattoo, but I say just get it! Edit: It worked very well on my tattoo as well! I got a tattoo that required a lot of shading and I didn’t feel a thing until about the last 5 minutes of the session. It was probably a 2 hour session but I sat there like a champ not feeling a thing and it did not affect the way she tattooed or the result at all. Highly recommend! ... show more
