Cabby Noir doesn’t really try to hide the fact that it is a dupe of Creed Aventus and I feel it actually mostly delivers on that promise. I’ve tried a number of the fragrances by Eighty and a lot of the time I have felt like they struggle to deliver on the promise of what they are actually inspired by. This time with Cabby Noir I actually feel as if they deliver on creating an Aventus style fragrance and also I would say they delivered a fairly good interpretation that hits most of what you’d want out of that style of fragrance. Cabby Noir notably lacks a distinct pineapple note which depending on who you ask that is one of the more prominent ideas of what Aventus is about. In my opinion Aventus is mostly about an idea of a sweet opening into smokey woods and oakmoss and this gives you a well done version of that. To me you get a more blackcurrant sweetness with a fairly smooth smokey yet distinctly smooth woods. The jasmine here specifically is more prominent than I’d usually expect and leads to a much smoother overall experience similar to some of the higher end clones of Aventus. Eventually this loses some of its sweetness and becomes more of the universally appealing hyper masculine smokey woods that most people tend to enjoy the most of this fragrance. All that said I surprisingly would say this is close to one of the better inspirations of an Aventus style fragrance however I am unsure that you are getting the best value here. This is fairly expensive all things considered a lot of the other popular inspiration of Aventus are available for cheaper than the 50$ price tag that this has at the time of this review. Still as strange as it is I think this does edge out a few of the cheaper clones in terms of scent and possibly also in performance given this is an extrait. I would arguably say this may be worth the purchase but if you are looking for the cheapest inspiration to Aventus this isn’t it so it really is dependent on if the price tag makes sense to you.

Having been collecting all sorts of fragrances for the better part of my life at this point, I can confidently say this inspired fragrance holds its own in the crowded market this one takes inspiration from. Cabby Noir features a bold Chypre Fruity profile, blending notes of Bergamot, Black Currant, Birch, Jasmine, and Amber. It is highly reminiscent of Creed Aventus but leans distinctly masculine rather than truly unisex. Though marketed as a high-concentration Extrait de Parfum, it comes across a bit lighter, remaining exceptionally smooth and never cloying. Longevity is stellar with this fragrance. It easily lasts 10+ hours on my skin and creates a dependable 4-foot scent bubble, with It feelings incredibly classy to wear and consistently pulls fantastic compliments, especially from my wife, who loves this scent profile on me. The generous 100ml (3.4 fl oz) bottle feels hefty and durable in the hand. Its elegant black design and gold cap gives it a classic, high-end look, which is paired with a leak-free atomizer that delivers a perfectly even spray. Overall, at just a fraction of the cost of the high-end Creed fragrance, it effectivelly draws inspiration from, this is one of the better alternatives out there and a fantastic everyday value.

I was curious about this after seeing so many comparisons to Creed Aventus, and honestly, I'm pretty impressed for what you get. Right out of the bottle, you get that bergamot and black currant opening that's fresh without being overly sweet. It settles into a nice woody, ambery base after a bit that feels warm without being heavy, which makes it versatile for both daytime office wear and evening outings. The bottle itself feels substantial and the teal and gold design looks a lot more expensive than it probably is, so it would make a nice gift too. I've worn this to work meetings and casual dinners and gotten a couple of compliments, which is always a good sign. As for longevity, it's decent but not quite the beast mode all-day performance I was hoping for based on the "long-lasting" claims. I find myself doing a light reapplication after several hours if I want it to stay noticeable, especially in cooler weather. The sillage is moderate too, so it's not going to fill a room, but it's noticeable in close proximity. For the price point, I think it's a solid pick if you like Chypre Fruity scents and want something that smells expensive without the luxury price tag. Not a perfect match to the original, but a respectable homage.

I've not had the pleasure of smelling the cologne that this fragrance was inspired by, but I know that this one smells really nice. I got this for my teens, but I always like to try scents myself so I can do a break down. At first spray, this smells really unique, a fresh, clean, yet very masculine combination of citrus, warmer berries and literally the fainitest hint of pineapple ever. The more this settles, the woodier it gets. The mid adds in a touch of incense like notes, and an hint of an underlying whisp of florals. Full dry down keeps those woody notes, but adds in a touch of mossy fougère and a tad bit of warm vanilla. It's earthy, woody and very masculine. While at first this has a promising very unique scent, it ends up smelling like most woody manly scents do. This doesn't mean that it's bad by any means though. This is also a strong scent, with an excellent sillage. It lasts many hours too. As big as this bottle is, it's definitely worth the price, just don't expect a cologne that's extraordinarily unique.

I am truly shocked at the quality of both this cologne and this brand. This is the 2nd cologne I own from them and am highly impressed with both. First, the performance of this is incredible. I am a heavy sprayer and usually do about 6-9 sprays. This lasts easily 4-6 hours of great projection and another few hours of a strong skin scent. It's a clone of creed aventus and a great one at that. Easily 90-95% similar. Highly recommend for the price!
