Our RV had a brown futon in an otherwise black, white, and gray color scheme. This was an inexpensive and quick fix. It fits great, and was super easy to put on. We haven't had to wash it yet, so not sure about that aspect. It is comfortable when sitting on it.

It actually turned out much better than I was anticipating! We had a really thick futon and it fit over it pretty well and has some great stretch to it. Also has kind of a waffle weave pattern but it looks really cute on! Nice color too. Might purchase this one again if I ever need another futon cover. ... show more

This does the bare minimum for your futon. Not as think as a fitted sheet, but not as thick as a mattress protector. It would probably work against fur and crumbs but not any liquid spills or stains.
