I had these in red already, and I love them, so I was eager to get them in black too. They hurt the front of my calves just a little for the first couple days as they broke in, but it didn't take long for them to break in. I have sensitive feet and use custom orthotics or inserts in my shoes. I am able to put my inserts in these boots so they are pretty comfortable, even for my bad feet. They are perfect for daily wear to work. I can my regular straight fit pants straight down covering the top of the boot, or I can wear slim fitting pants and roll them up once so they hit the top of the boot. Very cute either way. I thought the brown heel with black boot would annoy me, but it doesn't at all. It looks cute and I think I actually prefer the heel not be black. I wear a size 8.5 in athletic shoes, and I got an 8.5 in these. They fit perfectly.

I was looking for a cuter pair of boots that I could still use my custom orthotics with. Getting old sucks! I tried these with the Prime try before you buy service and the regular width was just a touch too narrow for me. I ordered a wide and I do feel like my feet have more room. I was able to lift up the sole to put in my custom insoles which is unfortunately a priority for me. I do agree with other reviewers that the hole to get your foot into is narrow, but I think it's loosening up now that I've worn these a few times. I will also say my feet were hurting after the first day wearing them. After wearing a few more times, my feet are definitely not as sore so they do take some breaking in time. I would overall recommend these!

I love these! I got them to wear to work in the New England snow. They are pretty water tight and very comfortable once on. Getting them on though is kind of tricky. I need to use a screwdriver through the loop to pull them on, because the loop is too small get my finger through! I'm OK with this because once my boots are on, they are on all day. So not a big deal to me, but might be a big deal to others. I'd buy them again for sure. I take a 10 in boots (I'm normally a 9.5) because I wear socks with them, I find them true to size and the quality is good.

Bought these specifically for a trip to Italy, they worked very well for me. Reflecting on the trip, I could have left out the sneakers because I found the boots were pretty good for everything, and I didn't need to alternate shoes because I had no friction points. The insole could have been softer, I put in a thin gel insole and walked for miles in Italy, in rain too, no leakage. Had they been leather that might have been a problem, so I was just as glad to have PU, and they don't look cheap in black. I think sometimes lighter colors in PU look cheaper. The sizing chart indicated a 7.5 for me but I often find that size will put the arch in the wrong place for my foot. I bought the 7W, which is often a good fit for me, and it was just right. Not a blister in all the miles I walked, often 10/day. The heel was just right height and the traction lug soles were effective but not exaggerated oversize as some younger people like. That style is cute on them, but not on a 69 y/o. They slip on and off pretty well (think airport security), and I was wearing socks, didn't have a problem with them rubbing on my shins. As for style, they go pretty well with most clothing. Although not ideal for dressier clothing, they're not bad with skirts, and wearing nice heels made no sense on that trip. They look great with casual clothes. Some people might need to use a shoehorn, I didn't, though I tried it and it was easier. I was extremely happy with these boots. I wish more of the colors were cut in wide sizes, I'd have bought navy.

Love the style. The fit in the foot is perfect, but the front of the ankle caused bruising on my lower shins. If I only wear them in the rain, I can handle it, but extended walking? No.

It seems like some people had success with this shoe, but I suggest not to buy it if you feel even the slightest discomfort against your ankle or front of foot. These are too tight around the ankle and I bought these thinking I could break them in. They broke ME in instead and the burn was so painful against my front ankle, I felt anguish that lasted two days. It has nothing to do with the shape of your ankle. These shoes were constructed very stiff and the place where the foot goes in is fixed at an unnatural angle, which continuously rubs the skin. Higher quality shoes will bend to accommodate the natural shape of the foot. I made the mistake of buying these and wish I had returned them. DO NOT BUY IF YOU FEEL DISCOMFORT.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS. I’m an 8.5-9 depending on the brand of shoes (generally leaning more towards 8.5. I also do not have wide feet. I purchased the 8.5 and it’s a perfect fit…..I almost feel as if I could maybe do an 8 but I’d be nervous they’d feel just a tad small. I wore these boots for a night out and walking all around Flagstaff in the snow and these did not disappoint!! The arch support is fantastic (for someone who has a bit of a higher arch). The heel isn’t too high to where I was getting uncomfortable walking in them. I found them to be pretty waterproof too considering I was walking through snow and ice in them. I could not recommend these enough. The only con (if you can count this as one) is that the hole to slip your foot in isn’t all that big. But if your used to putting on high-heeled ankle booties with no zipper, you won’t have an issue. Again, HIGHLY recommend for anyone who wants a stylish, COMFORTABLE ankle bootie!

The shoes are very very beautiful and comfortable. But unfortinately they started to fall apart just a few times after I put them on. The hole in the heel caused the heel which is empty inside to shrink and gave me leg pain.
