My 4th grade daughter wanted to try saxophone this year at school, so we signed her up. The lease cost through the school program seemed high to me. In checking around, it seemed to be the standard rate, but when all added up, it ends up being a pretty expensive instrument. That’s when I started shopping around and came across this one. I was pretty incredulous TBH, but the reviews convinced me to give it a try. It seemed like a good instrument to me, but more importantly, it was exactly what was needed and her teacher was impressed by its craftsmanship. It’s a really nice instrument. Don’t let the comparably inexpensive price fool you.

This sax rocks. I am surprised at the price, so are other sax players I know. Easy to play up and down. I saw some reviews that say they had to bend the valves open because they were stuck closed. For shipping, Eastar places small pieces of cork to hold the keys closed. Take these out! Duh!. You will love this Sax.

It has been 27 years since I've played a sax. The last instrument I played was a Baritone Saxophone in high school. Nonetheless, my embouchure is shot and needs rebuilding. I took this sax out of the box, and was able to produce a decent sound and play the entire scale shy of 6 notes and I'm not ready for that yet. I played each note for a four count. Well built sax for the money. I'm very happy with this product.
