This meter has a level over performance of instruments that would cost thousands of dollars and weigh more than 10 Kg a decade ago. It is easy to use. It's great for testing or sorting components. Ordinary VOMs can give misleading readings. I like that it displays 2 relevant measurement values simultaneously. Note that you must use appropriate test leads or fixtures to achieve stated accuracy in some circumstances. The included connection slots for leadedd parts work well. This meter uses low frequencies for measurement. It even works at DC for measuring wide-range resistance. For RF measurements you need a VNA.. I had to trim the bump case around the charger connection so it would fit. I haven't tried the USB connection or the software. I don't plan to use it. ... show more

The first unit i received "bricked" itself after only a couple hours of use. I promptly got a replacement unit, and it seems to be just fine. I do wish there was a software package to give a PC a GUI for this meter. I installed the VCP driver, but there is no GUI so i have no idea how to access the meter from the PC. Even if i could, that driver is only for sending and receiving text information from the meter. ... show more

I use meter to test components, resistors, capacitors, and inductor for many different applications( transformers / antennas / filters). Very accurate, easy to navigate, and best of all you can choose testing frequency! Definitely would recommend.
