  • Extremely Nice!
About 2 years ago I had to return two EART guitars. However, the last two EART guitars I have bought were excellent. This most recent one I bought, the one I’m writing this review for, has a flawless fit and finish. The red flame maple looks fantastic. And, the bridge, the neck and the nut are in perfect alignment. The nut slots were filed to the correct depth: strings EA .020, DG .018, and BE .016. I own 20 guitars. I’ve never had a guitar where I didn’t have to do some set up. On this one, I adjusted the string action lower, it’s now in the mid 6’s, I had to adjust the bridge saddles for intonation and for correct radius, I had to adjust the tremolo cavity springs to raise the bridge off the body of the guitar. I didn’t have to do anything to the stainless steel frets, the frets were about as good as anybody could ask for. Were all the frets dead level? Of course not. There were a few high frets. But, with low action and moderate plucking (picking) there is no string buzz anywhere up and down the entire neck. When that’s the case, I don’t go to all the trouble to level any frets. The tuners are smooth with no free play. The blade switch and the knobs operate perfectly. The pick ups sound good, whether playing clean or distortion. Ohms for the neck and middle pick up are 5.3. And, Ohms for the humbucker are 13.3. The guitar is well balanced - no neck dive. I just can’t find fault with this guitar, and believe me, I’m someone who looks. Considering what I paid for this guitar, it was a steal. I couldn’t be more pleased. ... show more

  • Blown away.
Color: Purple
Unbelievable fit and finish and features for a guitar of this price. You're into American Ultra territory from Fender to get all this, and the playability is superb. The only fault I can possibly find is the setup wasn't perfect...needed a bit of tweaking to get it really dialed in (nut slots, string height, etc), but I'd expect this of any guitar. The pickups are not hot, but very versatile and have an articulate, chimey quality that I really like. ... show more

  • I like it, but there’s something a little off…
Color: yellow
The neck profile is weird. Very thick and wide by the nut, somewhat thin and narrow as the neck joins the body. The frets catch paper underneath them as l do measurements. The frets feel like they protrude the fretboard, l can feel them on my palm. Tuners are Micky Mouse. But it came in tune and set up. $319, a good price. ... show more

  • awesome guitar for the price
Color: Black
I was shocked at how good this guitar was, especially for the price Bone nut, roasted maple neck, stainless steel frets, high polished as well, straight neck If you buy a well known brand name guitar you will not get anything close to this good at this price range, or even double. I purchased 5 different guitars from 3 different vendors in the last 6 months (returned 2) this one plays the best and cost the least out of all of them. Update-not sure why I didnt see this sooner, but the compound radius of the neck gets flatter closer to the nut instead of the butt of the neck. THis is backwards of how it should be. Should be more radius at the nut for playing cords and flatter up high for lead playing and bending strings. THis is not a huge deal breaker as it's only a change from 10" to 9.5" ... show more

  • Fretboard is wonderful. Sound is good!
Color: yellow
This was the first guitar I have gotten with those really nice rounded fret ends that don't scratch your hand. I had no high frets and the action on my particular one was set nice and low with no string buzz. I also love the nice satin finish on the neck that makes it smooth to move up and down it. With the humbucker in the bridge position you can get some great tones. One thing I wish you could do was split the humbucker in the neck position. I got it at a great price early on and it is still worth it at 2-3 times the money of the price now. ... show more

  • It arrived ready to b play and beautiful!
Color: yellow
It was just done to perfection. I have 40+ years of playing and handling guitars. The set up and intonation was right on. The neck and fret work are not seen on a $300 guitar or even a $600 guitar. The neck is soft to the touch and smooooth. Single pick ups very good but not great. The humbucker is very good and playable. Great looking guitar the green pick up is even growing on me. The hard ware is a heavy and solid feeling not $2000 guitar solid but very respectable. Nothing on this guitar feels cheep to me. Great guitar ... show more

  • A BIT SURPRISED
Color: yellow
First off, I am a believer in EART guitars. For the price, it is hard to find a better group of instruments. However, I recently returned the strat-like guitar I received. The guitar had great looks, but just felt off the mark. The neck did not have the great feel that I am used to by now. Holding tune was an issue...a surprise, for sure. Tones sounded was way too bright for my tastes. The kicker - the big thing - was that I believe that the bridge needed replacing as it produced string distortion which adjustments did not help. If the guitar played and sounded as good as it looked, it would still be hanging in my music room! I think I received a real stinker...and that is an exception, not the rule. As I stated, I love EART guitars...I have five of them and each one is different. EART seems to know what they are doing. ... show more
