The eagle creek 120L duffle is too big to carry on the plane so it must be “checked”. The backpack feature came in very handy when negotiating the many stairs and cobbled streets of European towns, old hotels and public transportation. To convert to a backpack, on the fly, simply pull a strap out of a side pocket and clip it on.
