I’m so glad I purchased this. It’s thick and very soothing for chapped lips. I tend to lick my lips a lot, unfortunately, but this lip mask provides a great moisture barrier. I use it every night, and often during the day, in a thinner layer. It’s not as sticky as Vaseline, and doesn’t have the weird fatty taste that Vaseline has. I think this is the best lip mask for the price on the market. As a midwest girly with CHRONICALLY chapped lips all winter, I am a slight lip product connoisseur. I’ve tried everything from low to high end stuff, I have really sensitive skin and this one has all the good qualities of Laneige without the irritation from fragrance. It is thick and a similar consistency, but it is less irritating, little to no fragrance, and my lips wake up feeling so soft! I quite like this. I can be kinda weird about stuff on my lips, having a strong or intrusive scent is a deal breaker. This does have a scent but it's mild and fades pretty quick. The product itself is nice. It sits on the lips and grips well with out being waxy or sticky. I work is a dry dusty shop and in the winter time I'm prone to getting severely chapped lips no matter how much water I drink, and this is so soothing and hydrating immediately upon application and I like that it doesn't wear off after 10 minutes ... show more

Very hydrating. I use this every night and have healed my lips from using hyaluronic acid on my lips. I wake up and my lips are still moist. Be careful with hyaluronic acid in the winter or in a dry climate. It will pull moisture out of your skin if there isn’t any moisture in the air. Always top hyaluronic acid with a water based toner after you use on dry skin and then apply a water mist like Evian or a water based toner after to keep skin plump and hydrated otherwise it will dry out your skin. So I'll be honest, I didn't skim through all the product details and reviews before purchasing, because so many people like this product. However, I bet there a lot of people that don't like it for the specific reasons I will list. I know people say you get a lot for your money, but it's such a soft product you can end up accidentally taking too much out of the jar. You have to keep track of the spatula, and it really doesn't seem to do much or last very long on the lips. I had originally purchased the kiehl's butter mask for lips and was putting it on at bedtime. The kiehls is very solid, and you really rub your finger in before applying it to the lips. So I guess I was expecting something like that with this tub. I dipped the spatula in the first time, and boy it's soft. In addition if you are a super natural person, I really don't think it's helpful that it has food coloring and a tiny bit of a scent. There's really not necessity for either of those things. I know people say it's a great price, but I have a feeling the kiehls is going to last me about four times as long since it's a solid product. I think if you really wanted a product like this, it's probably better to purchase aquaphor and it does a better job. I honestly wouldn't recommend this one, and think money would be better spent on a more solid product Cons for me: Fragranced Food coloring Have to deal with a spatula or a greasy finger Not super effective or long lasting Will go through tub fast if you're not careful with amount of product you take out Very soft texture ... show more

I realize it looks incredibly small, but I've had this one from Feb. 20 and today is June 1st. I used it at LEAST 5 nights a week, simply because I forget sometimes. But it averages out to about 5 nights a week lol. Anyway, there are still a few uses left. The one I ordered in Feb. didn't come with a little application tool. Which I just now realized is because yes, your fingertips do stay greasy for a bit after applying it. I usually just wipe it in the outskirts of my eyes as a little hydration lol. And with that being said, I should note that this stuff doesn't absorb into your lips. Sometimes I can still feel it when I wake up in the morning. So I'm not sure the mechanics - if maybe it just locks in moisture - but it has helped add a little life back into my lips. I only put it on at night, but my lips are less dry during the day, so something is working. I used to have to peel dry skin off my lips sometimes! And of course, peeling lips make it difficult to wear lipstick...iykyk. - (that's the first time I've ever used that acronym!) And I suppose it's because of this mask that they do seem a little plumper too. And also considering also the price of the product - I think the E.L.F Overnight Lip Mask deserves 5-stars. ... show more
