I have to say that the ELF powders are easily my favorite drugstore options for loose powder. It is unmatched in the setting powder game for me and I’m always amazed how satisfied I am when I use it. I have extremely dry skin and as I have aged it hasn’t done me any favors. I always apply and set my concealer over anywhere that I tend to break my makeup up or rub off. So specifically under my eyes, center of my forehead, between my eyes, my laugh lines around my mouth, and I also rub my temple area off the sides of my face. The problem is I always struggle with how I look with any powder on my skin because I feel like it ages me drastically. I know everybody’s a big fan of the obvious loose powder option at the drugstore but that one does not work for me (one with a large Powderpuff hint hint) This one looks great every single time! It has this healthy glow without actually having sparkle and that’s really hard to do in a face product. It does run a bit light which is fine, i am typically a light/medium/beige foundation and it blends perfectly with my skin. Works with both a brush and a puff. Compré este polvo por muchas reseñas de que era un gran producto y por probar la nueva tendencia de los polvos rosados, el polvo tiene una especie de brillitos así como su nombre lo dice, pero no es escarcha es como un satinado que en la piel puede verse bonito si no se tiene mucha textura. Creo que no sé manejarlos del todo bien. sin embargo el producto es hermoso, el tarrito trae buena cantidad, es un polvo súper fino que deja la piel si se pone muy poquito tipo efecto filtro, no es seco como algunos otros polvos que he probado. Respecto a su color rosado la verdad es bastante claro, si se quiere probar la nueva tendencia este no es el polvo indicado, el tono rosadito que trae da mucha luz pero no hace que se intengre el blush con el polvo como la técnica que quería probar. I've purchased this halo glow setting powder multiple times. I sometimes purchase it at a local store so I'm not sure if I've been getting a new one every month or every two months. How often it needs replaced also depends on how much you use at a time. I try to use it lightly but sometimes pick up more on my sponge than needed. I like to concentrate it more on certain areas, such as eyelids to prevent creasing and my nose since it tends to get more oily than other parts of my face, but I do a light bit on other areas of my face as well. I always purchase this in the shade 'light' and find that it's not too dark even for my fair skin that sometimes light shades of powders still are. This shade isn't ghostly white and doesn't wash me out or look overly powdery. It doesn't make my skin look dry, but with any makeup if you have overly dry skin it will show. It sets my foundation nicely (I haven't used it without foundation) and also adds a light bit of extra coverage. My nose still ends up getting a bit oily eventually without retouching, but that is normal for me. I like that this powder feels lightweight on my face and not chalky at all. It blends well with my real techniques sponge for dry powder (I use a different RT sponge for liquid foundation) which I pat it on with and powder blush blends nicely over top of it. I also like that it doesn't have any weird or strong smell at all, as I don't like and avoid cosmetics that do have a smell.
