I'm really glad I ran across this Elf Flawless Satin Foundation. The depiction is great, and I found the perfect match to my skin tone on the first attempt. Just purchased my second bottle. It's very lightweight and goes on really smoothly over lotion, primer, & concealer using a wedge makeup sponge. It soaks in quickly and doesn't smudge nor smear. I follow with Wet 'n Wild Photofocus Translucent Setting Powder and a setting spray. None of that disturbs the Elf foundation. It stays on, doesn't smudge, feels very lightweight, lasts all day. Easily removed with baby wipe, followed by Clinique 'Take the Day Off Makeup Remover' then Clinique 'Clarifying Lotion 2 Twice a Day Exfoliator' then Clinique 'Moisture Surge Overnight Mask' lotion. When looking for a different foundation, I spent a LOT of time Googling "best of" (not Sponsored, lol) lightweight, waterproof, etc. I had been using Cover Girl Outlast Extreme Wear, but the last bottle was a different consistency and shade even though I'd reordered the same product, so I was on the prowl for a well-like product that had the qualities I wanted. I'm in my 2nd bottle and don't plan on changing to a different brand in the foreseeable future unless the formulation changes. Easy to color-match to your skin tone, applies quickly, smoothly, evenly, with very little product to obtain full coverage. Lasts all day. Good value for the money...doesn't break the bank.

I picked this up because I wanted to find a new foundation and this was decently priced. It feels really nice on the skin and not too heavy. It blends well with a beauty sponge. I have certain areas of my skin that refuse to pick up foundation even with the super expensive ones so I was expecting that, I have no issue with that as it’s my skin. It looks super nice on the skin and is a nice medium coverage. You might be able to build it up to be full coverage, but the medium coverage is nice and lightweight. If you want a nice and natural looking foundation, then I would definitely pick this up. The only thing I will note is that it does have a smell, but nothing insanely strong. It smells sort of like cologne to me, but I honestly don’t hate it.

I purchased this on a whim when it came up when I was searching for another e.l.f. product. I don’t wear much makeup so take that into consideration. This was super affordable, like $2 for the shade I got—Snow. This is not my shade but I primarily wanted this to use under my eyes and mixed with moisturizer (snail cream). I rely more on a quick bronzing for color. Again, really don’t wear foundation, even bb cream gets mixed in with moisturizer for me. This foundation was a great option! It’s nice and brightening (again, in the shade I got) and works great with my bronzer & contour powders atop. Perfect to add some light and life to my face. Because of the sunscreen, careful around the eyes. Makes mine irritated/watery. To test I put it under my eyes treating it as a lighter concealer. It started out far oiler than I expected and a little goes a long way. But it does dry down after a few. And great all over the face mixed with moisturizer, I imagine it would work well without moisturizer, too!

I’ve spent so much money on costly foundations. None have been perfect. I’m almost seventy and have tried the foundations for aging skin but none were that great. On a whim, I decided to try this, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I got two shades and still need one with a little more color but that’s not a problem. This makeup is so light and sheer, and doesn’t settle into lines, fine or otherwise. I found that I can take concealer off my list because this covers all I need, Eve dark circles, and does it better than anything else. There’s no caking, the foundation is buildable, and feels like silk. My face is so soft, it feels like I’m wearing nothing at all. I use the lighter color to conceal and illuminate without having anything shiny. I don’t need that type of illumination. If you’re looking for medium to heavier coverage this probably isn’t for you, but it covers and corrects (how, I don’t know) everything I need. Dark circles are truly gone without looking like I did something to cover those up. This is my new best friend. I’m not good with sponges but never used them before. I’ll probably stick with brushes. But everything I need is in two bottles of this, and I’ve spent a third or more in getting one bottle that’s disappointing. Highlights, foundation, concealer - for under $20. My face feels like silk! One negative thing is that it’s not boxed and comes dropped into a lightly padded mailer bag. Both bottles came ‘battle damaged,’ big chunks off the thick part of the bottom of each. Fortunately it didn’t break through so as long as they don’t get another ding on those places I can live with that. What a great find! I’ll be buying more products from e.l.f, definitely abs without question. One shade a bit darker and I’m set. My face is so soft, and I look like I’m wearing nothing but a little blush, eyebrow color and lipstick. Extraordinarily pleased. This is the best foundation I’ve ever used! Concealer, foundation and highlighter in two or three bottles for less than a foundation in anything else. e.l.fantastic!

I am one of those people who has a few things I normally spend extra money on, foundation is one of them and I usually use Nars. But, I have always liked ELF products when I have purchased them, and in a pinch because I lost my foundation in a recent move and had plans, I needed the fastest delivery possible. I looked at several brands, but kept coming back to this one, because of my positive experience with other products from them. It was delivered either same day or next day (I don’t remember) and I was very happy with it. The color I picked was spot on, (SNOW) and it covers well, without being heavy or too matte which I don’t like. I did need to apply lightly and build if I want to because of this, as the texture was a bit thicker than what I’m used to, and spreads differently, so I tapped it gently on with just my fingers. I won’t be switching from my Nars, but I was happy with this.

I want to lead with the fact that this is NOT bad a foundation for the price point. However, I'd suggest getting two because it took me 4 pumps to get medium coverage. Apply this in small sections, one pump at a time because it dries quickly! If you apply all over your face and try to blend out, it will already be powdery. That being said, for how powdery it is, other products blend well on top of it and the foundation doesn't smudge away. The fragrance is a big component for me - it's so strong. It smells like a body spray instead of foundation, and it's definitely an old fashioned floral smell. Despite all the room for improvement, I still think for $6 a bottle it's a decent drug store foundation. Personally I have a hard time finding foundations light enough for me, Casper's Cousin, if you will. The shade Snow does the job for cool, fair tones, but I used a pink powder to set it down and cancel out a little of the yellow coming through as it oxidized. Would I repurchase? For $6, absolutely. At a higher price point? Probably not.

I went in on this purchase with very average expectations and I've been blown away by how nicely it actually works for me. The color actually matches with my skin tone when many others "matched" to me are never quite right. Blends in nicely without that "painted" look and really gives me a much more even, lively look. Nice and light but still highly effective with a little going a long way.

Pleased trying "Snow" shade on my 70 year old face that recently has been showing more age spots and jowl wrinkles on otherwise really good light medium skin normal not dry or oily. Although this Flawless Satin foundation feels slightly tacky sticky I tried it today along with a few dabs more moisturizer and Im pleased with soft pretty finish. Doesnt cover age spots well but no foundation I've tried does. This product gives a pretty effect.
