I’ve been using Dyson products for years. I have to say that initially, when I was looking for an air purifier, I gravitated toward this brand primarily for its design and reputation. However, I must admit that after all these years, I remain thoroughly satisfied. It does an excellent job; with normal, continuous use in my living room, the filter lasted for about a year. The air in the living room now feels clean—free of dust and other impurities. Furthermore, the "Hot" function—though a bit noisy at higher settings—emits a nice stream of warm air, provided you aren't sitting too far away. I managed to find it on Amazon at a good price. My only minor gripe is that I thought I was getting the "LINK" model—the one that can be controlled and programmed via a Wi-Fi app—but this version works just fine regardless; the remote control is lightweight, works well, and features all the necessary buttons. I haven't tried other brands, but I’m happy to recommend this one—even given the high price point—because it delivers exactly what it promises, and it doubles as a space heater during the winter if you happen to need one. ... show more

Dyson, always good. The noise is low, so good for bedroom use. And the remote is easy to control. Also during the winter, the heat is really fast and efficient.

Easy to set-up. Love that it cools or heats. Works well on Auto. A must have for pet owners and the wild fire smoke, etc.

You can't go wrong with a Dyson. This is my 3rd one, and they all work great. It may be a little pricier, but it's worth it. It's fairly quiet, and I love that you can heat or cool. The filter is easy to replace too.

This air purifier really does a great job! Not only do I have three dogs, but I’m also a smoker. It works well to get rid of both the dogs smell and the cigarettes smoke. I’ve noticed quite a bit less dust since getting this unit. The only thing that I don’t like about it is that you’re always in heat or cool mode. You can’t just set it to purify only. (Or if you can, I haven’t been able to figure out how). And while I want to run the air purifier all the time on the auto setting, that also means that I have to have the heat on or the fan on. At night my central heat is set to drop by 6° so I either have to remember to turn down the heat on the air purifier or it works to heat the room all night long. If I set the temperature lower than my central heat, it seems to always be running the fan at the highest speed. This unit would easily have five stars if it had a purify only mode. Although I will say it does have a really good job of heating up the whole downstairs if I forget to turn it down. The unit itself was easy to set up, it looks as nice as an air purifier can, and is very quiet. It lives in my family room, and I never have to turn up the TV to hear over the sound of the fan. Replacement filters are expensive, so that’s something to keep in mind. I got this unit with the extra filter so I’m covered for a little while, it’s definitely worth the extra money. ... show more

    • Huge upgrade from the original.
I have used these in my house since they first came out (15 years ago?) This is the new edition. And it works so much better. The nighttime function with 8 hours timer is superb. When I first turn on the machine, it holds the temperature that was set before as in the old machine. This one also, when I hit the night button, holds the 8 hours setting if that’s what was set the last time. I got an extra filter for free or should I say included? And that’s something that means a lot to me. The first machines I got, I struggled a bit to get the replacement filters even though I didn’t need them until I had the machine for a couple of years. ... show more

    • Easy set up. Works well.
The set up was very easy and the unit works perfectly in my 18'x20' space. All you need to do is set it to Aut, then set the temp and how much if any you want the unit to ocillate. You can also put a tilt on the unit up or down. I put a slight tilt to the floor as its the coldest down there. It also senses the quality of the air and will speed up when it detects something. I lit a candle with a match. When it detected the smoke from blowing the match out the unit spead up and then slowed down once it removed the smoke. Very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

I own an old dyson hot+cold and it's very sensitive to the temperature you set. This "upgrade" can't seem to sense the temperature with any precision. E.g. set to 72 and the machine turns on when the room is around 68 and off around 76
