I have used these in my house since they first came out (15 years ago?) This is the new edition. And it works so much better. The nighttime function with 8 hours timer is superb. When I first turn on the machine, it holds the temperature that was set before as in the old machine. This one also, when I hit the night button, holds the 8 hours setting if that’s what was set the last time. I got an extra filter for free or should I say included? And that’s something that means a lot to me. The first machines I got, I struggled a bit to get the replacement filters even though I didn’t need them until I had the machine for a couple of years. ... show more

    • Easy set up. Works well.
The set up was very easy and the unit works perfectly in my 18'x20' space. All you need to do is set it to Aut, then set the temp and how much if any you want the unit to ocillate. You can also put a tilt on the unit up or down. I put a slight tilt to the floor as its the coldest down there. It also senses the quality of the air and will speed up when it detects something. I lit a candle with a match. When it detected the smoke from blowing the match out the unit spead up and then slowed down once it removed the smoke. Very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

Product is great, but my mistake for assuming online functionality like my previous units. You can connect it to the MyDyson App, but there is no functionality. My other models can be used with my phone, set schedules, and use Alexa to control. Not this one. My fault for not realizing, but just want others to know and understand. ... show more

I do not seem to register a lot of pollution that needs cleaning or filtering in my room so I can not comment on its effectiveness. I can attest that it is a good heater and has a range of settings and positions to make a comfortable room. It shows temperature of the room and the machine’s setting. I bought this on a Black Friday sale. It does a good job hot and cool. The only thing I didn’t realize until delivered was this one isn’t compatible with Dyson App like my Dyson Fan. But I kept it with the deal I got. I’m happy with how it works. Have a blessed day!

    • Love Dyson product; this one's a "loser"!
Unit didn't even "set" correctly on base; wire wasn't long enough to reach an outlet safely; warning on unit that it can cause burns if touched. Returned unit which wasn't easy due to size!
