First time using this product and it took about 3 hours to install the trunk. Installed on a 2020 Altima trunk. The hardest part was measuring the sections to apply and being cautious about how much of the material I used and where I put it. If I had more of the material I would have applied a lot more, but considering how much I had this definitely made the quality so much better. I did watch several videos on how to install it. I did use a heat gun to make the adhesive more sticky which helped. I also recommend the roller to apply this material. I highly recommend this product if you have a system installed. This makes the sound so much cleaner on the inside and less areas to rattle.

I own a 2003 Maxima and replaced the factory Bose head unit last year and somehow lost the audio signal to my sub and tweeters. (I still have the factory Bose amp (200W Max) and Bose door speakers.) I installed a Kicker 8" sub with a Kicker mono amp, and also bought new Pioneer tweeters and wired them directly to the head unit. While adding the new sub re-added some of the "oomph" to the bass that I lost, and now have some of the highs back with the new tweeters, I still find something "missing" from the sound that I had before the head unit was replaced. So I'm looking to upgrade the door speakers next and figured I'd do it right by installing some of this after doing some research. I started with the trunk lid, but was still somewhat skeptical of the results. After going for a drive I was very surprised at the reduced noise coming from the rear of the car. This stuff seems to really work. After also doing the front and rear doors with this stuff, my factory Bose speakers now have more full sound, better bass from the front speakers, and I really enjoy listening to the stereo now - especially with my iPhone's downloaded music. I can't believe the difference. Maybe its just me, but the car even sounds quieter now. I can crank up the music and still enjoy it. The only downside is now I can't figure out if I still need to replace the speakers and get a new amp. :) Dynamat is more expensive than some of the competitors - Hushmat, Noico, etc, but I can't comment if it is any better. I just know that this does what it claims. I didn't cover the entire door panel like I've seen in some videos as I didn't want to make it difficult to get at any door or electrical components in the event I have to replace something like a power window motor. But I did cover as much as I could of the metal on the four door panels as well as the inside of the exterior panels. After doing all those and the trunk lid, I still have 1.5 sheets left. Install was easy, just cleaned up the areas with mineral spirits. Xtreme also does not require using a heat gun to install like the regular Dynamat.

I ordered this for my 2015 nissan altima. I have two 12's and my components are aftermarket and on a seperate amp as well so my trunk rattle was obnoxious. I took it to the same local shop that installed the subs. He used 1 whole box on the trunk and the rattle is basically gone. Now I can drive around without sounding like a box of spoons when at red lights. 🤣🤣 Would order again if I need to dynamat another car.

This is Florida- and cars get hot in the summer. When they are insulated for sound- the heat buildup inside has no where to radiate out- and my inside temp jumped over 10 degrees. This was never mentioned in any review I read- and once installed- it does NOT come out. Think twice.

It’s Dyna Mat. It’s the best for a reason. Don’t be fooled by other reviews claiming cheap knock offs are as good. They either have never experienced Dyna Mat or installed it wrong. If you install it correctly you will hear a NOTICABLE difference. Don’t cut corners. You will get superior sound inside and no rattling outside. I’ve got a JL 13.5 with a 1000 watt amp in a power wedge box in a trunk of a CTS-V. Which if you have one you know it rattles. Not any more.

We used this kit for my son's 2014 Chrysler 200. This covered about 65% off the trunk and if you want to cover every piece of sheet metal,I would suggest the larger kit that covers 36 square feet. That being said, my son noticed the difference immediately...tighter base response, and less rattle inside. He's running two 12" Kicker Comps, with a 500 watt rms amplifier. This has eliminated most rattle, but not all. New cars are made of thin sheet metal and a lot of plastic, so eliminating all rattle is going to be an ongoing process if that's your goal.

Used this to cover all 4 door panels completely. This product is very sticky and easy to apply. I am comparing this to GTMatt that I used in my trunk and under my back seat. Dynamat is way more expensive and I would say both products work about the same. Definitely could tell there was significantly reduced road noise when driving and no more rattle when the midbass hits. My doors sound much more solid when closing now and are even quieter on the outside of the car.
