    • It's fluffy, but wrinkly as heck...

I have not slept with it yet, but I've had on my bed for about a week now - at night I just pull it all the way down to foot board, as I still have another down comforter (light weight) on my bed that I'm still using. That said, while this new comforter fluffs up nicely, it does take work. First, upon opening your comforter from the VERY SMALL box, place in your dryer on low setting for about 30-minutes or more (with wool dryer balls) to fluff up better. Don't skip this step. THEN, lay on your bed, and manually fluff even more by shaking it a few times (I manually fluff every day, which takes only seconds!) And yes, it stays fluffy. Those commenters saying it's flat or doesn't fluff up, I'm guessing they don't have a flawed comforter, but they need to put in the elbow grease, ha. I also can't say if the comforter is going to be "too warm" (I sleep hot), because again, I haven't used in that capacity yet (but soon :-) I did buy the "all season" weight, so I'm keeping the faith it won't be too warm, since I use in the summer too! Of course I still have an older "light weight" down comforter I'm still using, but once that's put away for winter, if I ever need to pull out again for summer, that's not a problem. But again, I'm hoping my purchase of the "all season" weight, will actually work for all seasons! My only issue thus far, is the outer shell is REALLY WRINKLY. I'm disappointed in that, especially since it's partially cotton with polyester. I will say the box was SUPER SMALL (manufacturer, if you're reading, please use a larger box for your down comforters!!) It was really smashed and jammed inside. Although by now the wrinkles should have come out! (between the initial long dryer session and manually fluffing every day on my bed.) And it's also mixed cotton and poly outer fabric, so there's no excuse for wrinkles to still be there. It circles back, I think, to the overly small box in which it was packed. NowI will have to buy a hand steamer to get the wrinkles out. I did talk to a professional and luxury bedding company (not Amazon) who agreed with me that while hand steaming the outer shell should do the trick, I should be careful, too. Because you don't want the down and feathers inside getting too wet or moist, which could lead to mold if not dried properly. I plan on "spot steaming" lightly - as some areas are more wrinkled than others. That said, they agreed with me, that if I immediately (after hand steaming) place the comforter in the dryer (low heat setting, wool dryer balls) for about an hour, that all should be good! So now I have to buy a hand steamer (which in fairness, I've been wanting to have one on hand for travel and quick steams for other items in my home anyway.) But that's an added cost I wasn't counting on right away. But if the manufacturer is reading this, either mention in your description how to get the wrinkles out, or better yet, use bigger packaging. I'm all for saving the planet, but in this case, a down comforter deserves a larger box. Not fair to have a totally wrinkly outer shell (and over a week later, the wrinkles are still there, despite all my efforts.) And apparently I missed the memo that the outer material isn't all cotton, but rather part cotton and polyester (all cotton outer shells breathe best, so I hope the manufacturer considers making 100% cotton shell one day.) But I also thought, when I found out fabric was a mix, that the wrinkles should come out on their own, but NOPE. And for those of you wondering, yes, I have a new duvet cover that I have NOT put on the comforter yet (not until the wrinkles are gone!) Also, when I wash the duvet, sometimes it takes a few weeks before I have the incentive to put on again (ha), as it's always a bit of a struggle . So yes, I want a wrinkle free comforter on my bed during those times! Anyway, hopefully you gleaned something from my review, which may prove to be helpful for you, too :-) P.S. While I gave it 3-stars, it's really 1-star for wrinkles, but 5-stars, so far, for everything else ! ... show more

I bought this duvet when upgrading to a long size bed, this having to upgrade bedding as well. Compared to my previous duvet this was a step up. The quality of materials and workmanship is good and it is warm. One really can't ask for much more.

First, it is insane how they can vaccuum seal this king size comforter down to fit into such a small box for shipping! Don't let that fool or discourage you when it arrives. I put mine in the dryer with 6 wool dryer balls on medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes to effectively fluff it up. Worked like a charm! This is a medium weight down comforter that holds warmth great! Can be used as is or with a duvet as there are stitched loops to aid in securing the duvet of your choice! ... show more

I was looking for a comforter I could put into a duvet cover. It had to be soft and warm just for the southern cold. I can't tell you how this blanket is so perfect. I had a down blanket and it wasn't nearly as soft as this one. I also tried cotton blankets and they weren't soft at all. This blanket is just heavy enough to keep you warm while being super plush and soft. I find myself at night when I wake up squishing it because I love the way it feels so much.
