The Olive Green Velvet curtains are a wonderful lush and heavy almost drape like window covering. They provide some extreme light filtering. If you want room darkening, I suggest a dark colored velvet curtain. They wash easily and do not shrink at all. The color stayed a lovely olive green. The ties a great addition to them as it is easy to pull the curtains together rather than having to open them wide allowing too much light. We love a good moody room and these will enhance any moody decor. The material is also a bonus for our ASD child that loves specific fabric textures. He will sit on the floor and play with the pooled curtain bottoms.

I love the luxurious look of velvet curtains! These are heavy and very soft, but come with a ton of folds and wrinkles. Since velvet can't be ironed without risk of ruining the material, thank goodness I've got a large steamer which mostly took care of it. Even that didn't get all the wrinkles out, but enough to look acceptable. I'm happy with the purchase.

Bought for our guest room, the color is perfect! I’m sure if we had blinds under the curtains they would block more light but that wasn’t super important to me. The third photo is with the curtains closed during the day. At night it’s pretty dark in there. They’re really nice and thick, plus soft! I think they’ll help keep heat in during the winter. Very happy with them overall.
