Description

The DW7352 13-inch Disposable, Reversible Thickness Planer Knives are made of M2 laminated tool steel for long-lasting sharpness. Machined locator holes provide easy alignment of knives on cutter-head during knife change. A planer is necessary for all wood finishing jobs, but a quality planer needs quality knives. The DEWALT DW7352 replaceable knives for the DW735 Planer help your planer get the job done well. Crafted from M2 laminated tool steel, these blades outlast the industry standard and are double sided for continual performance. The machined locator holes make installation a snap by aligning with the cutter-head. Choose these blades as a better, more convenient and cost effective alternative to sharpening. • Dewalt quality
I've ordered these a few times for our planer. They're a pain in the ass to install, not because of the blades but because Dewalt makes replacing blades a 25 minute process involving the removal of about 50 screws. The blades themselves do a great job, and when one side is worn out, you can flip them to get another round of use out of them. Overall, the blades seem to last between 6-8 months on our planer, with almost daily use. Very hard woods like ipe or certain mahoganies will definitely dull them quickly, though. I've never used generic blades and don't think I will. These are quality, and the price is decent considering how much use you get out of them. ... show more

  • Knives are Sharp...Lesson Learned
I recently purchased DW735 planer blades from another brand. They had good reviews, and at half the price of the Dewalt blades, I thought that they were worth a try. Unfortunately, both edges of each of the 3 knives had burrs, so I returned them. Then bought the Dewalt blades. They are razer sharp and, after two weeks, my planer is now back in service. If you want to save a few bucks, then give the others a try. Perhaps I just got a bad set of blades from the other brand. But if price is not a consideration for you, learn from my lesson and save yourself the trouble, and the downtime. ... show more

  • No choice but satisfied
It's good to have a planer for finishing wood, re-doing deck's etc. The problem is supplying the knives to do the job. If you own a Dewalt 735 planer, these are the only ones you can buy (as far as I know). These knives are definitely easy to replace and they do the job well. The only problem is that they are expensive, probably no more than other types of planers/knifes, but still expensive. Overall happy with performance. ... show more

  • About the "Dulls too fast people"
I also was having the experience of the replacement blades dulling out very quickly as many others have stated. The bearings in my planer motor went after 14 plus years and many sets of replacement blades. I have found that after I installed the new motor bearings (which was an arduous task to say the least!) Not only does my planer have a faster feed rate but the blades are lasting like they did when it was new. Another note for those changing the blades: Pay attention to the direction that you are supposed to rotate the cutter head when doing your blade change!!!! Rotate it toward you if you are standing on the switch side of the machine. If you rotate it in the wrong direction you can end up eventually backing the motor pulley off of the shaft which will cause you some serious issues. So if you are having premature blade wear you may want to look at the health of the rest of your planer parts, specifically the motor bearings. ... show more

  • Good replacement blades
I went through the original two sets that came with my DW735 in about 5 months. Like everyone else, I wish they lasted longer but I'm planing lots of wood, so I guess I'm getting my money worth. I wish I had remembered I could have gotten a set of 6 blades at a little better pice. Next time I will buy the two pack. These blades are extremely sharp and do a great job. If you are noticing boards not feeding smoothly and the rollers aren't the problem, change blades. It makes a big difference with sharp blades in the planer. ... show more

  • Work great. Buy them before you need them.
These work great with my Dewalt planer. Always have a set as back up for planing hardwoods and rough sawn lumber.

  • New knives - like new machine
New knives - like new machine. Some people think that it would be better to be able to sharpen the knives than replace them, but the cost of sharpening and the trouble of setting them is not worth it to me. These knives are supper sharp, easy to change and no adjustment is necessary.
