Cheap and Easy

While not the strongest or sturdiest of materials or build, I'd say the quality for the price in our current over-inflated year was good. The shelves themselves are okay, sitting on pegs. The set is fairly short to me, but at the same time is nice because we live in an apartment, so space is an issue. My girlfriend and I have a large collection of media, ever growing and it filled up quickly. So I'd consider buying another, partly due to the ease of assembly. The instructions were easy to follow and the whole item was fairly quick to assemble. Plus the box itself was also not too big. One thing to consider is caution with the parts like nails etc. There are no spares in my box, though there are plenty of plastic pegs for the extra shelves I have, and a small mounting bracket I didn't use. Size-wise I used 10 shelves not counting the base of the unit, with a few set slightly asymmetrical accounting for different heights of larger items, namely all are larger boutique boxsets and chunky box blurays and 4k's. The rest are for my PS5 games. I'd recommend if you know what to expect, and will probably buy another in the future since while nice we need more. The white rack we bought looks nice too. ... show more

Worth the price
It's obviously not fine furniture for the price, but it went together easily, looks pretty good, seems like it will last well and has room for a lot of CD/DVDs. A pretty good piece for the price.

DO NOT PURCHASE
This is by far the worst thing I have ever putchased on this app. The part tolerance is none existent with them cutting corners everywhere to make this cheaper. It looks terrible was missing pieces and every single sticker is on a visible face and impossible to remove with lots of scraping and goo gone. The shelves aren't even an even distance apart with a lot of then refusing to sit flat and rocking when touched. This is a lot cheaper than the other options I was looking at which is why I purchased it but I would never do that again. This was a waste of $80 and as soon as I can afford to replace it it's getting trashed. I had to rig it together with wood screws just to get it together because I was missing a quarter of the shelf and instead received a duplicate piece that was completely wrong. The screws are terrible, the instructions are bad, and it's a pain to build even if u had all the right parts. ... show more

Needed something to fit into the closet so all the movies wouldn't just be out in plain sight. I'm not thrilled with the sturdiness. It doesn't sit flush against the wall and does require an anchoring kit so it won't tip over if you have small kids. It was easy to put together and it is very customizable for shelf size. I even have extra pegs and shelves if I want to switch up the spacing between the shelves. So functionally works great for movies or books but could be more stable. It looks great too, so if it didn't have to be stuffed in the closet it wouldn't be an eyesore in the living room. ... show more

Sturdy, spacious, and stylish!
I recently purchased the VPSMAT DVD Storage Tower and I am very pleased. The build quality is solid. It feels stable - I am not worried about it tipping over. Assembly was straightforward, and the adjustable shelves made it easy to customize the layout for DVDs, Blu-rays, video games, and even a few decorative items. The storage capacity is great for the price! With 16 shelves, I was able to organize over 300 discs, and the vertical design saves a ton of space. The tower fits snugly against the wall without feeling bulky, and the open shelving makes everything easy to access. ... show more

Count your pieces
Shelf is good quality, easy to put together, only thing is I was short one pin for the shelf, so I had to go purchase a pack because you can't just buy one. Other than that I'm happy with my purchase

The quality is as expected
Holds a lot of dvds the quality is what I expected. It was easy to put together. It only took me about an hour total to put the whole thing together. I feel like it’s very sturdy. I don’t have it fast into the wall and it’s holding pretty good and I have it almost full.

As other negatives reviewers have noted, this unit has problems. - holes are too big for support pegs. - shelves don’t have grooves for pegs. - don’t expect anything to be within tolerance. - expect to make modifications. I needed something with very shallow shelves. I have a blank wall, but it happens to be in a walkway. Thus the need for a shallow unit. I have 10’ ceilings, and a usable width of 6’. I decided to purchase six units, and put three on top of three. The top three are upside down to eliminate the protruding base support from being in middle of unit. I used many binder bolts (Chicago screws) to hold all units together. Screwed and used angle brackets to secure units to wall studs in ten places. Had to glue in all pegs because they are too small for the holes, and fall out otherwise. Shelves don’t seat on pegs evenly, so you need to trim a little of the shelf off. I used lots of glue to make parts a little bit more sturdier. Due to pre drilled holes not all being the same depth, expect front to back width of shelf spaces to be off. Spaces between unit fluctuated between 0” and 1/8”. I filled the spaces with caulk. In my case I needed all the space I could get, so I removed the baseboard from behind. I knew I would have some problems by the negative reviews, but not this many to overcome. It took all the skill and multitude of tools to accomplish what I had in mind. If depth of unit is not important to you, there are much better options out there. IKEA has the Billy units which are outstanding for $69 , but are 11” deep. I’m experienced at this kind of thing, so I took it as a challenge. The final product is about 6 feet wide by 9 feet tall. I’ll use the unreachable shelves for rarely used media. Like 40 year old SVHS family recordings soon to be digitized. ... show more
