I give few product reviews because most of the time they don't work. So, when I purchase I pray! Well, I did not pray this time but the product worked. Wow! Therefore, I can say with all honesty...this product cleared my check engine light. Here is what I did: First, do not clear the check engine light with a scanner. If the light is showing in your dash, then OK (leave it). Next, make sure you only have around a quarter tank of gas. Now, set your Trip A meter to zero (or calculate 25 miles by adding it to your current odometer reading). Next, place the entire bottle of the product into your gas tank. Start the engine and drive around 25 miles (mine worked at 21 miles). Note: you don't have to drive right away. You can drive the 25 miles or a period of time (mine was two days). After driving for 25 miles you should see the check engine light go out. Good luck! Update (1): check engine light came back. update (2): Found the problem. The gasket near the oxygen sensor (bank 1 down stream) had a leak. Gasket replaced and check engine light went out. So, check for exhaust leaks before making a purchase. ... show more

So, my Honda has 112,000 miles on the original cats. Been using this product for a few years now. Never had a code for a bad cat. But, I was smelling rotten eggs during acceleration on the highway. That went away after 3 bottles of this stuff. Here's the real proof.... One bottle was leaking when I got delivery. Not much was lost. Loose cap. Ran the saturated cardboard through my shredder. The shreddder immediately started squealing, then stopped dead. This stuff took off all the lubricant on the shredder blades !!!! If it can clean shredder blades that well, it's cleaning the cats too !!!!! ... show more

This was added to a car that's around 12 years old that had the check engine light come on periodically. It was taken in to get an inspection and failed due to a fail on the catalytic converter. The estimate for the repair was about $2500 because the catalytic converter is attached to the exhaust manifold and the labor to get it all taken apart and put back together is substantial. The car wasn't really worth the repair given the mileage on it, but we weren't ready to buy a new car just yet. We decided to roll try this out to see if we could pass emissions one last time and have more time to shop for a new car. It was easy enough to use... add it to the gas at the next fill up and drive. It took a few days to get a little past the halfway mark before the check engine light went out. We took it in, it passed inspection, and we got the sticker. The light came back on a couple of days later, but turns off for about 30-60 miles every so often. We didn't notice any other benefits... performance and mileage were about the same as before. This may work as a preventative for some people, but we were long past that point. This isn't going to fix a car's catalytic coverter, but it'll buy you some time before you get a repair or get a new car and sometimes that's all you need! ... show more

There are only after-market cat options for my 2009 Suzuki and my mechanic admitted none of them are great. I did some researched and decided to try this product. My Check Engine Light (with underlying P0420 OBDII code) had been on for a while--indicating weak/inefficient catalytic converter. I added a bottle of this to a full tank (~11 gallons in the Suzuki). After driving less than 60 miles, the Check Engine Light turned off and hasn't returned. I'm cautiously enthusiastic at the results. If the success holds, I'll probably run another bottle through in 4 months or so to help keep the exhaust system clean. It's a lot cheaper than >$1000 catalytic converter replacement. ... show more

I scaned and cleared code on my 2018 dodge journey put the dura lube in when i filled the tank no engine light well over a 1000 miles since the light came on so i can testify and say it works probably for some but not all depending on Your vehicle's situation.
