This is actually my second time purchasing this product because it's honestly fantastic. I had everything I'm looking for my husband's foot needs. He wears a 4E width shoe and for anyone who has the same struggle you can appreciate how difficult it is to find something fashionable, functional, and comfortable. Usually you have to narrow down to one option alone, but these are crushing it in every way. His last pair lasted him 4 years of hiking and work before he fully wore them out. He does heavy wear with his outdoor job. Serious I gave it 5 stars and again if you struggle with finding wide shoes the X-wide option should workout good.

I was surprised how lightweight the boot is. I couldn't get a lower cut in size 15 so I went with the higher cut. It is very water proof and a great walking shoe/boot.

Two-year update : I have abused the heck out of these boots for two solid years, and though they are showing a lot of wear, they are still very comfortable, and support my feet while I'm putting long days as a tradesman. I still wear insoles, and am on my second pair of laces. fabulous value. Original review: I bought these nearly a year ago. I read the reviews and paid close attention to the sizing issues many people seemed to have had. I normally wear a size 15EEE, so I ordered 16EEEE. Yes, quadruple E. They fit me just a tiny bit big, which was fine, as I fill the space with heavy hiking socks and Dr. Scholl's 440 orthotics. I am 6'7", 350, very active, and I ruin shoes. NB crosstrainers don't hold up, nor do Nikes or anything else I've tried. I got these to wear for some serious urban hiking in Washington D.C. I took them on a two mile break-in walk before my trip. The break-in was completely unnecessary. These boots felt dreamy. My feet are normally killing me after the shortest of walks. I easily walked 5 miles a day for three days across ice, concrete, and snow. My feet stayed warm, and I experienced none of the usual leg, foot, ankle fatigue that usually plagues me. I since have taken them on many trail hikes in Southern California with great results. I also use them for lots of street hiking, have tromped through snow, spent hours on ladders. I went on a few backpack training hikes with 50lb packs (that's 400lbs on those shoes), and always felt stable and comfortable I did not do any serious mountaineering, nor off-trail talus-slope slogging or anything crazy like that. If you have wide feet and are looking for a lightweight, comfortable trail boot, you might give these a try. I'm an experienced hiker, and have had Kastinger, Vasque, Ecco, REI, and a half dozen other boots. None have been close to this comfortable, even if they had a higher technical pedigree. If I were younger and in shape, I'd take these off trail. The only visible wear has been one broken lace. I will definitely buy another pair and rotate them to prolong their life. I wish they made a low-cut version of these, because I would truly never ever take them off.

I have a narrow feet and can never find boots. I ordered the tan a brown. They fit great and feel like a house shoe. I ordered a grey pair and I am not sure the material in that pair will hold up. Time will tell.

These are great fitting boots at 11.5 4E with ample room to insert my orthotics. Will they stand up to the 150 miles per month that I walk? The last brand I tried did not, failing in just 4 months. Time will tell. I hope to get a full year out of these (yes, 1,800 miles)! Watch this space for updates! Update: Three weeks and over 100 miles now, and they're fitting great, with no noticeable wear. Update 2: 10 Weeks and 350 miles. Showing a little wear on the outside edge of the heels, and one Lace just bit the dust. That's disappointing, but not a show-stopper. They still fit great! Update 3: 13 weeks, and 476.79 miles. The lowest eyelet on the left boot has started digging into the tendon on top of my big toe. Total game changer. This boot is no longer working at all. I didn't even get 500 miles out of these boots - and I had such high hopes.
