After deciding to take reviews into serious consideration, I decided against stools that were hard, had tiny seats, or weren't sturdy. After all, no matter how trendy some stools may seem, they are STOOLS--meant to be sat upon. That led me to these incredible bargains! They are sturdy, gorgeous, and comfortable! And they are an absolute bargain to boot. They have a nice weight; they arrive in pairs that the boxes say weigh 31 pounds for two. The stitching and nail work are perfect. The vinyl color matched to a tee between all four stools. And the vinyl had a beautiful sheen and color and texture that looks very close to full cowhide leather pieces that we own. They are a soft, supple material--not stiff and plastic in feel. The welded base parts feel substantial. And every joint that involves bolts requires two bolts at each joint. Those joints feel as solid as the welds! They have a great style to them, too. They would not be out of place in modern homes or richly tradition ones. It takes a while to unwrap all of the metal pieces. But once I figured out that you can easily tear off the wrapping at comfortable lengths--instead of continuing to unwrap long lengths--it sped things up. If you are on the fence about these stools, feel good about taking the jump. You won't be disappointed. (I did waiver on brown or black for a few minutes, and Amazon wouldn't let me cancel and reorder a different color. So be sure you know what color you want before ordering! I am kind of glad that I had to go with my first instinct. The rich brown has so much depth!) ... show more

Just received the set of 4 stools. I do not normally take the time to write reviews, but this product is deserving a little misrepresented in its measurements. In the images showing measurements, it shows the cushions as 0.8 inches thick. This is an error. I was nervous about ordering this product due to the fact that there was only 1 review (5 stars) and the error shown in the cushion measurement. I checked in the description and determined the overall height showed what had to be a thicker cushion and decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. These stools arrived in strong and immaculate packaging. Each piece of the base was completely mummy wrapped and 2 stools in 2 packages. Padding and packaging were very strong and impressive. Assembly was simple and the finished product is strong with the top cushion's thickness 2 inches thick or more. I like the decorative nails though I thought they would be silver...they are brass collored...minor inho. Initially very happy with this purchase. If anything changes after some use, will update. ... show more
