    • Looks great, blocks light, but weird cord mechanism

What in the actual *bleep* with the strings being at the bottom? EDIT: At first, I was very confused as to how to keep the shades raised. I finally deciphered the badly translated instructions and figured out to wrap the cord around the plastic spool thing. It functions, but it's very awkward. You can only raise one side at a time, wrap the cord around the spool, then raise the other. Then you have a loop of string dangling from the bottom. This puts the strings right in the way of my dogs' heads when they look through the window. I'm uncertain they'll they'll last longer than 6 months in full time RV life with dogs. But we'll see. Also, when I pull one cord to raise them, the plastic ends come out of the shade base and then the base slides, so I have to hold the base very firmly to get the string to pull. If you had two people, it would be easier. Weird. BUT, they look super nice and they really help block the sun and give your AC a break. If you don't need to raise and lower a few times a day, these would work fine. The fit is perfect. ... show more
