So far this unit is performing perfectly, I’ve noticed no issues with it and the installation was ok. It is quieter than the old part, the price point was excellent ($100 compared to an estimated $1500 repair at a shop), but of course there is no way to tell how long it will last just yet. Delivery was fast and it was not damaged during shipping. Look up videos on YouTube for the installation- the hard part is just the cramped quarters of the engine compartment. I found that I did not need to drain the coolant to make the repair as I only lost a small amount when disconnecting the upper radiator hose. Also there was no need for weather stripping as the fans came in their housing as a complete unit. The control unit was also included. Overall, very satisfied.

***Update, fan has failed after 2 weeks, fans will not turn on at all. Worked great initially, hoping the seller will replace the item just outside the 30 day return. Package came quickly and undamaged. These are slim and made of a semi flexible plastic and can sometimes get broken if miss-handled during shipping. They don’t come with much padding in the box. This one has a new control module, had to unscrew it (did not disconnect wires) to allow enough room to slide in place. Watched a few videos online for replacement and everyone disassembles way too many unnecessary items for this simple install. I didn’t even have to drain the radiator or remove the radiator hose as some videos suggested. Keep your OEM T25 torx head screws for use with the new fan. ( I think they are T25 ) Fan is quiet and seems to work great. If you notice your AC will not blow cold when in park or at a stop light. Your old fan module may be the cause. It will eventually fail and cause the engine to overheat too. This is a bargain compared to the OEM replacement and easy enough to do in your own garage.

Perfect fit- and we will see how it does……. The original lasted for >100K mi- A couple things….. get the control module- the first thing i noticed was the Variable speed was now much more accurate - the other one was either 100% or nothing….. Get 3/4” x 5/16 weather stripping so you can put it into the new one- similar to the one you take out- keeps it snug in the enclosure- This guy went right in- perfect fit- electrical connections were perfect- took me 30 min to get the other one out- took 15 min to put this one in…… defiantly worth a little work to save $1000- the OEM at the parts stores were $350- this guy was a 1/3 - so i am hoping i get a good 3/4 years from it. Build quality seems solid- noise level was low-(the failing one was really loud) and the installation was very manageable for people who have good tools and can follow directions well…. I am hoping this is a good value for the money- but we will see- I’ll check back in a year or two 🤣 The truth is i spent more time searching for the right tool and matching my sockets than i did actually putting this thing in!! Hope this helps!
