Description

A failed fan can result in overheating and potential engine damage. Protect the flat four with the all new Mishimoto direct-fit aluminum fan shroud engineered specifically for the Subaru WRX and STI. The Mishimoto Subaru fan shroud kit includes pre-wired factory pigtails for a plug-and-play connection and true direct fit, which eliminates the need to splice into the body harness. This fan shroud is constructed from lightweight aircraft-quality TIG- welded aluminum and has a brushed finish. It utilizes two high-flow 12 inch fans, which are highly efficient for reducing engine-bay heat and coolant temperatures. The Mishimoto Subaru fan shroud also includes provisions for mounting the factory overflow bottle to the shroud for a hassle-free installation..

    • Stick with the stock fans
This is the worst thing you can buy for your car. Sure it looks cool, but when your fans aren't cooling down you car at a stoplight on only a 70 degree day you will regret not just keeping your OEM set up. These fans are single speed and they don't generate enough force to draw the air out of the car. The OEM fans have more airflow and they can spin much faster. If you consistently live in cold climates this may work for you but otherwise. Now I have a 200$ piece of junk and need to source 600 dollar OEM fans. Also like the other reviews say. You will need some modification to fit the coolant overflow bottle. This thing is a nightmare. Avoid it like Coronavirus. ... show more

    • Awesome fans, no more overheating
Installed this on my 2000 Subaru Outback with a mishimoto aluminum radiator. Fits PERFECTLY even though it doesn’t say it’s supported on their website or by technical support but people with subies know these things are like legos, & I also compared the measurements and radiator with the model it’s supposed to fit and they’re exactly the same. Even the coolant overflow tank fits perfect. Hope this helps someone. Only thing I needed to do was make/buy an adapter to make the 4 wire radiator fan plug on the aground meet to a 2 wire plug. Keeps my car nice and cool in the desert. Quite a bit louder than my stock fans but that is expected. Sounds like a jet from far away haha. Used a roll of foam window weather seal to really seal up the 3/8” gaps between the shroud and my radiator for optimal fit. ... show more

    • Expensive. EBay fans with mishimoto decals? Arrived bent.
The shroud itself looks pretty solid. The msrp of +$300 it's ridiculous even at the Amazon prime price ours pretty steep. Looks good and works like it's suppose to. The fans aren't as powerful as spal fans. They honestly look like eBay fans with mishimoto decals. My shroud arrived bent where the overflow tank mounts. Also like someone else said about using it in hot weather the temp will climb past 210° of the a/c is on. I also paired it with a mishimoto double core radiator.... makes me feel like my car is a piece of junk if I can't eve. Have the a/c on in 93-100°weather. Will try pairing it with SPAL fans. ... show more

    • Might need minor adjustments but works great
I intalled my mishimoto fan on my 07 wrx it was a great fit and all I just had to do some minor adjustments to the bottom mounting bolts had to tweak the welds so I could fit in the bolts when I say tweak I mean bend them down and back up with the bolt in might have been my aftermarket radiator as well but once that was done super easy install and the fan works great wonderful product I would recommend to anyone that needs a replacement beats paying 130$ for just one fan ... show more

    • Clean fit!
When my radiator died I bought Koyorad radiator - better than stock. When one of my cooling fan died this was the icing on the cake. I have no way to measure airflow but these fans really work. Slightly louder than factory but I suspect that is greater air flow than factory.

    • Will Fix Your Over Heating Issue
I drive a 2005 STi, was having overheating issues and replaced the factory radiator and these fan shrouds... no over heating at all. Ever. Could be 109 degrees outside and its solid.If you have the extra bucks, buy the silicone hoses too, that will be the ultimate cooling package. I have owned this for about 3 years now and it is solid. I’ve been running the mishimoto radiator and these fans set up for the past week and I’ve noticed a massive difference in my cooling. In hard traffic, the coolant temps will exceed 200° but once I get moving the temps DROP down into the 160-180 range almost instantly. Extremely easy to install. Even when the complete set is good; I will highly recommend exchanging the left fan for the Mishimoto MMFAN-12HD Race Line, High-Flow Fan, 12" By the way, it may fit but I don't recommend to do the same on the right fan since there is not much space for the Mishimoto MMFAN-12HD.
