The media could not be loaded. Have owned since June 14th 2021 and still no issues. Make sure you empty all the air prior to filling her up. If not you can get inconsistent lighting which is something i struggled with for at least the first 6 months until i looked up a youtube video on how to fill these up. So make sure you empty out all the air before refilling! All you need to do is press on the opening at the bottom and youll hear it hiss out the air until its empty then you can refill for 5-10 seconds max.     • Less Noise than flint igniter

Was looking for a lighter with less noise and was confused by the reviews so I bought this to try it out. The lighter does seem a lot quieter than a standard flint-based percussion lighter. The lighter uses an electrical source that produces a voltage arc that then ignites the butane source. The voltage arc does produce a whining sound which I would say is an improvement from my other lighter. Since the lighter is filled with no butane in it at all, it will be filled with air since it is not vacuumed out. The standard composition of air is mostly Nitrogen which can be compressed but not condensed unless contained in a thicker walled container. This means you will need to vent out the air (some call "burping") to get maximum capacity out of the tank. I'm curious if the complaints regard tank capacity from other reviewers took this into account. Will update this review later if durability is not very good. ... show more

    • Worth buying but here's what you should know

the fill port.. should be a small rubber ring around the port. This keeps the butane from spraying everywhere when filling it. Mine may have come off when filling it but I'm pretty sure it didn't have one. if you have a clipper brand lighter, you can swap it to this one. looks like a tiny rubber band. WATCH OUT when filling it, be sure to keep your fingers off of and away from the ignition buttons. If you have the lid open it can easily light up a ball of flames when filling it. I've had this happen 2 times. It probably won't hurt you or anything, it's the vapor that ignites so basically a flash of fire and it's gone, still worth noting. also the laser thing that makes an electrical flame will shock the fizz out of you, don't put your finger in it. battery life is pretty good, charged before use(30mins) lasted like 5 days. I'm pretty rough on things, bought this with 2 other lighters, This is the only one still working. makes a quiet but high pitched noise when lighting, only for like half a second tho and it's not that bad. The tank is pretty decent sized, I turned the flame pretty low, which helped. 3 weeks, 5 refills, 2 charges, dropped a few times, kept the flame on longer than most would, no issues. The side has a series of numbers, 0,30,60,99 i guess to tell you the charge level. Worth buying for sure. Much higher quality than anticipated ... show more

Absolutely satisfied with this product, just what I wanted. I was in search of an arc and torch lighter, and this was it. For anyone that wants a great looking torch lighter, that is as quiet as an arc/plasma lighter, and as reliable... and affordable, buy it now. I kid you not. To me, it's almost an exotic type of lighter, one that isn't even an option at most stores, and a challenge to find online even. My pickiness needed it to be very quiet, as the click action on torch lighters is really a nuisance after one click. 2021, still the torch lighter prefers to travel in a fanny pack. Old tech torches, they're inherently faulty, clunky, and not worth it unless you don't mind frequent replacement. Or if you lose them often, get the gas station clicker type. Sooo... This one caught my eye after reading it's info. Looked like the lighter might still click, I thought. But no, it's exactly what I wanted-- a silent button, quiet jet, and reliable arc and jet flame action. Hats off to it's creator(s). Well done.
