This product is 200 dollars less than any other decent unit you can find so expect it to be 200 dollar less in quality, so that being said yes the shifter assembly is weak. In the first picture youvv bc can see I added 2 additional bolts (silver) as the original only has 2. I threw out the shifter assembly and used a stronger one from my old set up as there is one very small weld on that bracket for that. As you can see I had to put a 4x4 I found in the corner of my garage underneath the bar for support but ended up throwing two holes in it for a cup holder so honestly not mad about it. Besides that the unit for the steering wheel is very strong as well as the pedal area. I also run a PXN v10 and it fit perfectly. Overall this is solid for the price, and manageable. This was a used product. I’ve never purchased a used watch them on Amazon but everything was great. All the pieces were there. Packaging was great. The item itself is great. My son and friends love using it.

This is an extremely well made rig for under $300. It was simple and straightforward to build. There are a few “weak points” but that will eventually be fixed by adding some rubber matting inside the rails where the steering column slides into the bottom part of the rig to eliminate the very small shimmy. 9.5/10 for the price/performance. ... show more

It's nice it just is very strange for my 16 year old to use. I guess would be better for shorter people. He has to put the foot pedals to the side and use it that way.

Pros: -Adjustable seat, wheel height, pedal angle, pretty much anything to your liking. -universal mounting holes for different kinds of wheels, pedals, and shifters. -Instructions are pretty simple and if you know your hardware, shouldn't be a problem. -Comes with extra hardware for mounting your wheel and pedals. -Seat is thin but is pretty cozy once you get used to it. Cons: -Fitment of some of the screws were off and had to do a bunch if loosening of other screws to get them in. For example, the angle screws for the pedals didn't line up properly and if you need to make adjustments in the future, you will need to remove the screws completely then make your adjustment. -The hand knob screws are convenient for making quick adjustments, but messes up the alignment of the wheel slightly when tightened. -Alignment for the pedal plate is also slightly off. -Shifter plate is sitting on some thin metal and I am concerned about weld quality. Overall not a bad setup if you are on a budget and want a better experience than mounting your wheel to a table. I haven't got my wheel and pedals yet as of posting but will update this post when I have tried it with the wheel. So far I have only gotten the shifter in place and the placement is pretty realistic to a cars position( although there is some wobbling due to the knob screws being the only thing holding it in place ). ... show more

    • Makes the experience so much better
Absolutely love racing with this. Makes the whole experience feel much more real. I am playing Gran Turismo in VR and this really finishes the feel. It’s relatively lightweight, so you can move it around, but it’s not going to move on you during a game. It’s easily adjustable so my 8 year old son can use it (we do need to add a cushion behind him) and within a few seconds have it set up for me. Feels pretty sturdy, but I wouldn’t put all of my weight into the steering wheel column. There is a little bit of flex but mostly coming from a small gap where the supports aren’t flat on the floor. I think I should be able to fix that with the adjustable feet, but have just been too lazy to fix it since it works well enough. ... show more
