These are clearly marketed as speaker grills. However, they hardly increased the meat grilling capabilities of my speakers at all. Although, they do look awesome covering my DS18 Pros on my custom PA speakers. Furthermore, my PA, even though it is smaller, has some excellently loud DS18s and is capable of grilling faces and eardrums. So same thng as grilling a steak... Redeemed. I bestow upon these grills a full five stars. In red, these things just look rad, and a bit audacious on my PA cabinets. So they do exactly what I bought them for. I think they would thart any accidental incursion into my cones. But someone with intent and motivation to stab my speakers could easily do so, as they act like a bright red target.
