We had an unusual need. We had a niche in our kitchen that had been painted black to serve as a crude blackboard. The idea was to fill that niche with a much cleaner and more useful whiteboard. This whiteboard was the only one that was big enough. But it also was bigger than the niche and would have to be cut. I asked the people who sell this (H-Qprobd) if they had advice on how to cut it. They answered quickly and said it should not be cut. But I found a way. Ryobi makes a small Cutoff Tool Model PSBCS02 that comes with three different 3" cutoff wheels. I first tried the one designed for sheetrock. It worked, but the result was a bit ragged as you can see in the photos. I later tried their cutoff wheel made for metal and it worked perfectly! It made a clean cut through all four layers! As you can see in the photos, the top layer is the whiteboard material, which is magnetic material. Just below that is a layer that seems to be Masonite. This gives rigid strength to the whiteboard surface. Below that is a layer that looks like corrugated cardboard! This seems to provide thickness with low weight. Finally, the back layer is aluminum. This aluminum layer also forms the frame. I marked the back (aluminum) side with the lines I planned to cut. On the front (whiteboard) side I covered the corresponding area with masking tape, where I planned to cut. I laid the whiteboard face down on an old card table, with the cutting lines hanging over the edge. I placed weights on it. Then I revved the cutoff tool to maximum speed before gently lowering it to the finished edge of the whiteboard. It cut surprisingly easily and surprisingly straight. I went to Home Depot and bought aluminum trim with a C cross section. It had an inside width of 3/8 inch. The exact thickness of the whiteboard. I slid this down the edge I had cut. This gave a nice finished look to the cut edge. Check out the photos!

The dry-erase board is as described and works perfectly in my office. The customer service is fantastic! We had an issue, and one of the boards we received was damaged during shipping, even though it was packaged really well. The seller messaged me back immediately and had a new one shipped to me right away. They even followed up by phone to make sure I received the replacement product and confirmed that it was in good condition. You rarely find a company that goes above and beyond, but they did! If you're questioning if this is the right one to buy, do it!

I was really excited about this product until we opened it and used it. I loved the fact you can carry and take anywhere that’s why I purchased it. I bought it for my 8 year old to practice her math. We didn’t use it right away but when we did, that’s when I know it was a mistake. The corners ripped, I thought it was some plastic sticker but no, it was part of the board. Not only did it rip on one side, but the other side! The other thing I was so upset about is it left the dry erase marker on the board. No matter how I try to erase the dry erase ink, it stays on the board! Im not happy with this product. I know I can’t return this now useless product because those days are over. I will never buy this again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. I hate to write this review but it’s really upsetting you spend money on something you think that would be awesome but no!

With only an eraser or dry erase marker used this has somehow started peeling apart in a few spots. It was fine up until then, is built well enough, but we weren't looking to buy 2 of these every year. Not thrilled with its lack of longevity, BUT the seller went back and confirmed it was a warranty issue and sent a replacement with no problems, great customer service! Did ding it 1 star from it having an issue but will do business with seller again, no doubt
