  • Reliable Moisture Control and Easy to Recharge
Size: 2 LBS Style: Orange Beads
I bought the Dry & Dry orange indicating silica gel beads to help control moisture in a few storage containers and they’ve worked exactly as I hoped. The beads are a good size (not dusty or crushed like some cheaper brands), and the color indicator makes it really easy to see when they’ve absorbed moisture and need to be recharged. I’m currently using them in a couple ammo cans, a camera gear box, and a storage bin in the basement where humidity can fluctuate. Within a day or two I noticed the containers stayed much drier, and the beads gradually started changing color just like they’re supposed to. It’s nice not having to guess whether they’re still working. Recharging them is simple. I spread the beads on a baking tray and put them in the oven on low heat for a while, and they returned to their original orange color. After cooling, they were ready to go right back into use. Being able to reuse them multiple times makes this a much better value than disposable moisture absorbers. The container they come in seals well and makes it easy to store the remaining beads when not in use. Overall, this is a straightforward, effective product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you need a reliable way to control moisture in storage boxes, safes, toolboxes, or electronics cases, these work great. ... show more

Does amazing at keeping the humidity low in my dry box and AMS for my filament. Item is as described, it’s a great value because it’s reusable. I’ve recharged it once and it works great.

  • A "Must-Have" for Basement 3D Printing—Easy to See When to Recharge
Size: 2 LBS Style: Blue Beads
Living with a 3D printer in a basement means fighting a constant battle against humidity. I bought this Dry & Dry Blue Indicating Silica Gel to keep my SUNLU PLA and other hygroscopic filaments dry, and it has made a huge difference. Why This Works for Makers: Clear Visual Indicator: The best part is the color change. In my filament dry boxes, it’s easy to look through the clear plastic and see when the beads turn from deep blue to pink. There is no guessing—when it’s pink, I know it’s time to dry them out. Industry Standard Size: The 3-5 mm beads are the perfect size. They fit into almost any 3D-printed desiccant pod or spool center container without falling through the vent holes. Truly Reusable: I’ve "recharged" these in a dedicated food dehydrator several times now. They go back to that bright blue color and work just as well as they did on day one. It saves a lot of money compared to buying disposable packets. Heavy Duty: 2 lbs is a lot of silica. It’s enough to fill several dry boxes and keep a large storage bin at under 15% humidity even in my damp basement. Final Verdict: If you care about print quality and want to avoid the popping and stringing caused by wet filament, just get this. It’s an easy, cost-effective solution that takes the guesswork out of filament storage. ... show more

  • Dry filament
Size: 2 LBS Style: Orange Beads
These dry beads have been a game changer for my 3D printing setup. If you’re serious about print quality, especially with filaments like nylon, TPU, PETG, or even PLA in a humid environment, proper moisture control isn’t optional — and these beads absolutely deliver. Since adding them to my filament storage bins, I’ve noticed a clear improvement in print consistency. No more random popping sounds, stringing caused by moisture, or weak layer adhesion. My prints come out cleaner, stronger, and far more predictable. For anyone who’s invested time dialing in profiles, you know how frustrating moisture-related issues can be — this eliminates that variable. The beads recharge easily and last a long time, which makes them cost-effective compared to constantly replacing disposable packs. I also appreciate that they work quickly. Even filament that had clearly absorbed moisture stabilized after sitting in a sealed container with these beads. Simple product. Massive impact. If you care about print quality and want reliable, professional-level results, these are a must-have. Five stars without hesitation. ... show more

  • Dries well and color change indicator works very well
Size: 2 LBS Style: Blue Beads
The blue desiccant silica gel beads work well to keep things dry. The very distinct color change is very helpful in determining when to re-dry the beads. I mainly use the blue desiccant in my AMS, and I've found I can go a long time before having to dry the beads. The bead size is perfect, with very few small particles that may slip through the desiccant screens or bags. I have completed three dry cycles on this batch already, and the beads are holding up nicely, so durability is not a concern. The bottle makes pouring easy, but I found that pairing it with a 3D-printed screw in a funnel improves the experience and minimizes spillage. There are concerns about the chemical used in the blue desiccant indicating silica gel beads, but I don't handle them often, and the particle size is large enough and heavy enough to not be an airborne concern. ... show more

  • Use with my 3d Filament
Size: 2 LBS Style: Blue Beads
So I picked up some mesh wedding rice bags. Filled this stuff into the bag and toss it in the middle of my spool and vacuum sealed the spool up when done. Works great. super easy to tell when it needs to be dried out. Bonus if you have a Filament drier. You can just toss the bags of this stuff in the dryer can run it a few times. Poof refreshed. ... show more
