First of all, yes, this doesn’t smell like lavender or berries. Lavender, as well as many other natural earth findings can be irritating to the skin esp. citrus peel, rosemary, etc. (Figured it out the hard way about witch hazel, too- also very irritating to akin). This is actually a soothing, anti-inflammatory product even if it does smell like fermented sake. I like to use it as a toner and mid-day but always with lotion becsuse any liquid can be drying.     • Skin Barrier getting better
It’s not hydrating for my dry skin but helps with strengthening my skin barrier. If you want to find a product with fermented ingredients, it’s worth to try.

All drunk elephant products made me break out. I’m not sure why my skin reacted to it like that. But for some people it might not do the same so give it a go!
